What do jinns eat & drink and where do they get their food from?

I heard they eat bones or something? I recall reading something about that in a hadith.

I was listening a lecture of an Imam where he told that 'after eating the meat, when we throw the bones then should read 'Bismillah' before throwing it, because Allah SWT (ghaib se) puts meat on those used bones and Muslim Jinnat eat that meat and if we don't read 'Bismillah' then the non-muslim (shaitan) jin eat it.
I think it is or similar to this recorded in hadith also.

Who cares what they eat as long as they are not eating our food. It is not enough for human race. We cannot afford to share it with them.

i believe they do NOT eat...they do NOT need to...they are NOT like us...Allah knows best what their means of sustenance is, if there is any! it's NOT important to know.

Karachi main aik mithai walay nay mujhay kaha keh woh aur doosray mithai walay jantay hain keh jinnat aadmi kay bhais main un say mithai khareed kar lay jatay hain.

That is a correct recollection. I have read the same. See quote below:

Haan maine bhi yehi suna hai ke FB Area main Ayesha Manzil ke paas ek mashoor hindu mithai wale ke haan se jinn mithai aur halwa puri khareedne aate hain

Khalil bhai, I don't think anyone can say that we don't need to know when related to our religion, knowledge is important and I always wondered what the answer was to this questions and thanks to BBCue for asking and others on the reply
