What did you do with your very first paycheck?

…no not the time you worked weekends at Grand Shoe Bazaar, but your first real, fat professional paycheck? I’ve noticed a lot of desis hand their first one to their parents.

shopped till i was broke. abb sochti hooN i shud've saved it up for uni fees, to ajj itni mehnat nahien karna parti. btw i still haven't taken loans, parents paid in the begining but now paying it all on my own for the past two years now. Alhumdulillah.

paid the left over school loans and credit card bills that had accumulated over the 4 year period. :D

lol td, ofcourse we have, lekin we live in a country where we have an opportunity to be not lazy and do something on our own, so why not take off some financial burden off their backs if we can? :-) it's been years since i've asked my parents for any money, even for lil kharcha pani or pay my bills.

when i do get it , i plan on saving it up till i have enough to get the car ill be going crazy over at that time .

I gave my first rent, my first telephone bill, spent part of it in buying books for the first semester in college. And, not the least, I gave a part in Mosque.
