I was hooked to his books as i was in 6th grade and read them "all" in about two years. Highly recommended for parent who want thier kids to know about islamic, umm better to say muslim history.

Along that I also used to read Maqbool Jahangir's Dastaan-e-Ameer Hamza.

Krishan Chander - could never forget his book "Ulta Darakht". One of the most amazing Fantasy + Sceince fiction i have ever read.

Qudrat Ullah Shahab - Shahab Nama

Ibn Insha

Banu Qudsia - Raja Gidh

All the credit goes to the school library where my dada abba was a head master.

and then:
Ibn-e-Safi (Imran series and Jsoosi Duniya)

Shafiq-ur-Rehman (no matter how many time I read his books, they are always fun to reed.)

Sabir Hussain Rajput - stories from his teenage life, when he and his friends used to hunt wild animals with thier hunting dogs in pothohar. was thrilling and fun to read. Heres a quote from one of his books i still remember.

Other then that Shikari, Shirkash, Inka, Hamzad, Ghulaam Rohai, Devta, Maut kay Sodager and a lot more. these were the series published in different digests.

Altogh I have'nt read a book in years :( but Ahmed Iqbal and Aleem ul Haqi are my favorite moden day writters. They both write for Jassosi Poblication's Suspense and Jassosi digest.

LOL, Sadat Hasan Mantoo reminds me the Jootays i recieved from my dada on my behind shareef. Yeah, I have read him. But then that was just the first page of "Khirkee khol do" before the chitrol.

sigh, miss them both. :(
