Well the thread has served its purpose, she got the recipe so we are free to derail it ! whether we do it or not , she will accusing me for it anyway 
On a serious note , my Great Granny used to bring some thing called ’ Amawat ’ from india . They make it from mangoes and then layer it to dry !
Do ya guys still have it in india ?
