Are you comfortable when your friend whips one out in middle of your conversation in a restaurant. Do you pause for a second. Look away. Or are you completely on board with women breastfeeding in public.

I am not comfortable with anyone poppin' them out and holding them and shoving them into their kid's mouth. As natural and beautiful the act of breastfeeding is, I don't particularly enjoy seeing anyone's boobs. I think a little sharm o hayaa goes a long way. There's all kinds of cover ups available now so you can nurse discreetly.
Maybe the guys would have a different perspective here :D.

As far as I know, guys are also pretty uncomfortable with a woman breastfeeding publicly.
Child birth is also a very natural and beautiful process, but honestly we dont want to see ladies lying down by the curbside with their legs spread.

Yup i second that.
Secondly i don't want to lose appetite for rest of my life after seeing a live child birth. Bio classes were enough.

I nursed all three of my boys, and there were plenty of times when I was stuck in public with a hungry baby! However, I was never comfortable breastfeeding in public. I would usually excuse myself to a bathroom or somewhere semiprivate and drag a chair in, while keeping myself as covered as possible. There are also plenty of times I went back out to the car and hung a recieving blanket over the window while I nursed (also covering myself as well as I could!).
If I was at somebody's house, then I would ask to use a bedroom or somewhere else private, even if there were only women around.

No. But I even felt uncomfortable if I was at home but male relatives were around, even if I was covered.

I guess I would be okay with doing it in front of my mother (if/when the opportunity rises inshAllah)....but not in front of anyone else. But then again I dont' know--I've stopped thinking about what I would and wouldn't do.
