Re: what are your thoughts on this fatwa now???

^ Ditto FBI786 brother :k:

When there are Mulsims dying at the hands of kuffar and when others are killing one another becuase of thier tactics we see the so called royal house of Saud issue another useless fatwa… these days every rock you overturn is vialble to fatwa…

Riddiculous i do not recognise the Saudi state… i only recognise the sared land of the kingdom of Hijaz.

Re: what are your thoughts on this fatwa now???

All I have to sa is "YYYEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW"

Re: what are your thoughts on this fatwa now???

one thing i feel i should say is that Islam isnt such a religion that would go soo low as how the second so called 'cleric' put it that the men should such directly ..

Islam gives a VERY high status to Women and the concept of ''Hijaab'' and if such a fatwa was implemented .... where would the rules of hijaab/na mehram go .. the initial stage would destroy the sanctity of Islam ..let alone actually carrying out the fatwa ..

So i totally disagree with this ... secondly .. a fatwa can only be given according to my knowldge .. ONLY by the mufti of the highest calibre ..who HAS authority ..and if the issue is as such .. you need the Ijmaa of Ulama i.e. a gathering of highest ranked scholars of the country and sit down and then Passs it unanimously ... otherwise ..its not really called a fatwa .. its rather an opinion .. and opinion CAN be deemed totally wrong ..

Re: what are your thoughts on this fatwa now???

Oh my days...is this for real??

Outrageous. I have heard that raza'at is not possible after certain age.

I had put a link to a very nice pic on this topic from nydailynews.com, but then I removed it thinking who knows which mod will find it against some rule.

Re: what are your thoughts on this fatwa now???

Peace

Who is the journalist who wrote this article? This news link on the net, has the thread opener checked the article against other websites and pages?

Re: what are your thoughts on this fatwa now???

Khoji ... you are right. Two years of age is the weaning limit and milk-siblinghood can only take place in this period.

Re: what are your thoughts on this fatwa now???

i think this fatwa came from al-azhar egypt a few weeks back.. it's been approved by saudi muftis as well???

I have heard this, but I’ve seen people post this hadis (and similar ahadis) from Sahih Muslim:

’ A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Sahla bint Suhail came to Allah’s Apostle (may peace be eupon him) and said: Messengerof Allah, I see on the face of Abu Hudhaifa (signs of disgust) on entering of Salim (who is an ally) into (our house), whereupon Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: Suckle him.She said: How can I suckle him as he is a grown-up man?Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) smiled and said: I already know that he is a young man 'Amr has made this addition in his narration that he participated in the Battle of Badr and in the narration of Ibn 'Umar (the words are): Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) laughed. *

3424-3429 all have this same story. Is the view that this is an unreliable hadis?

**Book 8, Number 3425: *
'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Salim, the freed slave of Abu Hadhaifa, lived with him and his family in their house. She (i.e. the daughter of Suhail came to Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) and said: Salim has attained (purbety) as men attain, and he understands what they understand, and he enters our house freely, I, however, perceive that something (rankles) in the heart of Abu Hudhaifa, whereupon Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) said to her: Suckle him and you would become unlawful for him, and (the rankling) which Abu Hudhaifa feels in his heart will disappear. She returned and said: So I suckled him, and what (was there) in the heart of Abu Hudhaifa disappeared.

I guess its fairly clear , a boy who has attained puberty was suckled.Where does the 2 age limit come from ? if so this hadith or atleast its translation is clearly wrong.
Its unlikely its wrong since Salim r.a mawla of abu hudhayfa could not be less than 2 when abu hudhayfa r.a became muslim.Salim took part in Badr and was martyred with abu hudhayfa in Yamamnah 11AH

and the hadith is Sahih according to standard of muslim, so it is authentic
is this also in Bukhari ?

Re: what are your thoughts on this fatwa now???

This has been already discussed :

See prototype’s link she provided inside. Das Reich may be you will find your answer.

Plus now i have my doubts about the this news. It seems to be more of a rumor and a weak try to defame islam. i say dont spread it anymore.

Re: what are your thoughts on this fatwa now???

the link in that thread does clarify things. so the explanation is

a) the Muslim ahadith omit the fact that this was mediated through a utensil.
b) this was a special case for Saad and doesnt apply for everyone.

Re: what are your thoughts on this fatwa now???

or the concept of sahih is not so sahih?

Peace Das Reich

The hadith is authentic. However, it is not enough for the hadith to be authentic for anyone to extract ahkam out from it. That is why we are people of Sunnah and Jammat. It was 'Aisha (RA) opinion that to drink the milk of any woman at any time leads to milk-siblinghood of her children. However the consensus of other members of Sahabah disagreed with this verdict and hence the ijma' opinion is that it only applies for two years.

It means that this 'authentic' hadith is only applicable for that specific case and not in general that it can be used to provided rulings in this sense.

:salam2:

I read the main heading of the given link and tried to find out in local newspaper or the find in any newspaper issued in GCC. Couldn’t find info in any newspaper.

Islam is the fastest growing religion in the in this world. Nevertheless, the non-believers have many stereotypes and misconceptions about Islam that are due to the media, prejudice, and ignorance. Islam is often looked upon as a “extremist”, “terrorist”, or “fundamental” religion. Many people hate Islam and do not want to acknowledge its true teachings. In many cases, the media’s reports about Islam are incorrect due to ignorance. This is one of the reasons why the non-believers often hates Islam. In contrast to what many non-believers think of Islam, Islam is a peaceful religion, which does not promote any forms of uncalled for fighting or “terrorist” actions nor such kind of ridicules fatwa.

Re: what are your thoughts on this fatwa now???

This news is conspicuously absent from mainstream media. I doubt its authenticity.

Re: what are your thoughts on this fatwa now???

one more reason to hate mullahs and their fatwa’s. Thank you :k:
