Currently I'm reading (and am almost finished) One Amazing Thing by Chitra Bannerjee Divakaruni.
The book is about 9 people (of various ethnicities) awaiting their visas at the Indian consulate in California...when an earthquake takes place...thus trapping them for days. Parts of the building cave in....others parts are resting in a precarious state....the rooms begin flooding...there's a shortage of food and water....some of the victims are in need of medical assistance....tempers flare. To try and keep sane...each of the 9 people agree to share a story (of some importance) about their lives. So far, I like it.
I've just bought the Kite Runner. Can't seem to read it probably because I've already seen the sad ending in the movie.
Read the Thousand Splendid sun and absoloutley loved it. He has a very good style, it's not too cheesy/fictional and not too sad either. He keeps things realistic.
I'm thinking of re-reading Love in a headscarf. Good read, almost all Asian, especially girls can relate to it. Also want to read Three cups of Tea and The House of The Mosque.

I know I'll have to pull myself through. I know I will cry reading it..and that's what's stopping me.
Eat, Pray, love sounded like such an interesting title, had to google it. It does look very interesting, the type I'll read. The movie looks good too.

Zadig by Voltaire. It’s been translated into English from French, a small book and I started reading it last night and have already finished first five chapters.

I just finished "In other Rooms, Other Wonders" It was amazing!!! I absolutely loved it! beautifully written and every detail was impeccable

I've got the omnibus of Jeff Lindsey's Dexter. I loved the TV show and the book is very similar. I think Dexter is one of the best characters ever.

I am the Messenger by Markus Zusak. An amazing book. He definitely has one of the most unique writing styles I've come across. Definitely not a word waster.
