What are you reading?

Movie was sawariya right?
I liked that story - I wanted to read the book too but its some heavy duty Bengali author - Rathore maybe?

lol...I thinks the next one was Hannibal...
I just read the book....and got these messed up images in my head...I don't think I can ever watch the movies...cause I may never sleep again :P

Yes! its sawariya :D
No no, White Nights is a short story originally written by some russian author called Fyodor Dostoevsky.

Re: What are you reading?

so i finished reading "Lost Symbol,"
and hated the ending...i think its was stupid....made me not wanna read the last chapter ...what did u guys thnk of the ending????

Rathore? :P Rathore is a Rajput surname, hun!
i think you meant Tagore.
and i dont get why Bengali authors are thought to be so heavy-duty? even i used to think like that, to the point i refused to believe there was any such thing as a Bengali Fairytale Book!

did you get the book? i have been searching for it too.

i hated the ending too, such an anti-climax.

read 2 States: The Story Of My Marriage by Chetan Bhagat.
like i said, nothing high-lit. but the book's funny.
its from a Punjabi boy's POV who falls in love with a Tamilian girl and wants to marry her. and what follows is madness! so many Punjabi and Tamilian jokes. and the clashes. and whats even better is that its not lengthy and is dirt cheap. :P
and the book is supposedly inspired by Bhagat's own marriage to a Tamilian.

also The Reluctant Fundamentalist by Mohin Hamid.
it was quite good, i really liked the concept, and also that they didnt drag it to a epic novel sized book. the narration was simple and easy, and the ending is open to speculation, though it does hint to Changez's being what i wouldnt want him to be(no spoilers).

currently reading Gabriel Garcia Marquez(how i love the name)'s *Love In The Time Of Cholera *.

**Other then being stupid .... I thought it was boring too ..

I hope i will get it soon, its a huge amount of ppl waiting for it before me :( it will take ages!

Re: What are you reading?

Awww my authors are all messed up!!
I should have googled it!

I am still reading “The Lost Symbol” and I am still thinking “Angels and Demons” was the best book and second best is “Da Vinci Code” and then “Deception point” .
I think I am missing one more :konfused:

Re: What are you reading?

I'm reading "Getto Kidz" by Morton Rhue and "The Alhambra".

Mjai Samaj nahee aathi!

Re: What are you reading?

I do that. Some time books are so boring that I need another book to kill time. :omg:

Re: What are you reading?

Re: What are you reading?

kulliyaat-e-'iqbaal...for the 25th time, may be...i do NOT remember exactly how many times i've read this book

Re: What are you reading?

I finished "Ghetto Kidz", tonight I want to finish "Alhambra". Some 200 pages to read :D

Can someone recommend me a good book? No Love Stories please, no Fantasy. It should be about History, Mankind. Like "Ghetto Kidz" or "Alhambra". "Alhambra" is a little bit fictious, a kind of Fantasy Book, but I'm reading it only to know how the Muslims of Spain lived there. I'd like to read more on Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand or something about Al-Andalus in General.

A book which desricbes the past ages with the pure truth and then short books like racism, politics, history. Whatever. Bring it to me if you can :D

Thanks
