Re: What are you reading?
so many ppl are reading and liking The Lost Symbol! Should definitely give it a try. I really loved Da Vinci Code, but liked the Angels and Demons movie better (please dont throw your books at me hehehe)
I've heard allot about 5 people in heaven whats that about?
"The 5 people you meet in heaven" is a light yet powerful read... I loved every page of it.
It's the story of an old man that leads quite an "uninteresting/unexciting/unfulfilling" life who ends up dying (at his workplace - an amusement park) while trying to save a little child. When he passes on he finds himself in heave, wherein he meets 5 people who had sort of impacted his life in one way or another.
The story takes shape as he meets each of these five people and learns how each one had made a difference in his life.
A good read, and a definite recommendation. :)
Currently reading Fyodor Dostoevsky's "Notes from Underground".

The title of the book means love and smell and this beautifully written novel is full of both! The story follows the lives of a Sikh couple from India in 1947 through to the present in England. It is a big, absorbing family saga full of fascinating characters, incident and a quiet humour. The accurate observance of the mundane and the interesting insights in the Sikh culture, wrapped round a tale of everyday life, is masterfully done. A very fine book indeed. Highly recommended

Synopsis
When Sarna Singh leaves the lustrous green hills of Uganda for England, rows of cramped old houses were not what she was expecting. She has a devastating secret of her own. How long before Sarna’s web of deceit destroys her own family?
Against a backdrop that spans Partition from India, Elizabeth II’s Coronation and Churchill’s funeral, to the present day, Priya Basil’s explosive family drama is passionate and moving.

Re: What are you reading?
Dear Jane Austen .... any Jane Austen fan will enjoy this.
It's set up like a "dear abby" type of book where she is receiving all of these letters from the 21st century and gives advice from her century. All "Life 1" type of problems. It's a great read!
Re: What are you reading?
