What are you proud of?

We’re all proud of a few things in our lives. They may be materialistic, emotional, spiritual, etc.

What exactly about/in your life makes you proud?

Re: What are you proud of?

Re: What are you proud of?

^uff!

I'm proud of my shoes (for being pretty). Proud to be a Mooozlum (Because my religion saves me from my own stupidity).

Re: What are you proud of?

I am proud of my faith, parents, siblings, and relative. People around me are both wonderful and annoying. I am thankful to Allah for whatever He granted me in this life. :alhamd:

Re: What are you proud of?

I was proud of alot of things a couple of years back especially materialistic things but a couple of incidents made me realize we are nothing in front of the Supreme Power. All I will say is that instead of being proud one should always thank Allah for His blessings and always seek his mercy and help.

Re: What are you proud of?

Meh, can’t think of anything.

…I guess being a Lahoran? Or for getting asked by Hussain Haqqani to intern at the embassy after he read a paper of mine (obviously before the memo scandal :chai:)? Or for being someone whose ultimate goal is to get married in a Bunto wearing her mother’s 20+ year old jewels? <–this means I am uber-old school and have a thing for all things traditional and heirloom which makes me pretty damn cool. :smokin:

Re: What are you proud of?

I’m proud of Pakistan :jhanda:

It might be a veritable nest of vipers, and a black hole to common sense and goodwill, it might be a land that would kill me and a lot of others too, a place where survival alone is hard, where politicians are corrupt and law and order is the point of a gun… it is a mess.

But its my mess, our mess and I can be proud of it becuase I call that hell home. One day I shall return to it and do my best to help it recover some of the old glory.

Re: What are you proud of?

I am proud of having kept my sanity intact so far.

Re: What are you proud of?

Recently? Losing an inch off my waist and one off my hips.

Re: What are you proud of?

ABC I didn’t mean it in the way you might have understood. Maybe I didn’t word it right.

I meant more along the lines of being grateful…although I don’t think its a bad thing to look at your accomplishments and be proud of them.

I love the old school look myself

Re: What are you proud of?

Re: What are you proud of?

Being alive. I know that may sound cynical but iv had 2 near death experiences and thank allah (swt) for allowing me to stay........

Re: What are you proud of?

proud of the fact that i'm a lot more flexible now then i was before, every time i see someone doing something i don't approve of, i try and see what might have caused them to act in such a way and try not to judge them in a negative way. i'm more accepting of my flaws and i've actually taken steps to self improve

recognizing that i have much more to improve on....cant wait to experience that pride after i conquer that stage fright and pass that network+ test and become more positively detached to people i get close to.

-i'm 5 pounds below my ideal for my height....wooohhooo:D! that was a tough one to accomplish but been at that weight for a yr now

too many things to proud of when it comes to family
