as a kid (and sadly even now), im kanjoos with my usage of color pencils and crafts i would color lightly just so i wouldnt use up the pencil too much and then came the time to sharpen the nib and i would only sharpen the actual lead part and not the whole pencil… god how pathetic eh?
marinaded goods.. i usually marinade meats and poultry when i buy them fresh.. and then freeze.. now you would think i would use them when i dont feel like cooking something from scratch right? NO.. i dont use it even when im sick.. why? khatum hojayegi … WTH?! my husband doesnt understand it and actually thinks its retarded.. but i cant explain it. i keep it for a rainy day.. like when the queen comes to visit?
OMG...I'm so guilty of the first one......would conserve and conserve.....to the point of having a crying fit if some kid came over and "wasted" my colors.
The reason the world hasn't seen my masterpiece is because all this while I have been more concerned with using up my colors, my drawing papers, my mixing palette.
Your other example reminded me of this cousin I had, actually I still have her, who never shared candies and other oodles of goodies with anyone, not even with herself. Well karma had it that the next time she decided to tease us with her boxes of candies and chocolates, they were reduced to decaying mass of sticky substances....ewww!

I call my mom "Bachhat Pack" because she's always saving stuff. I tell her mom why do you put water in the dish washing liquid? And her answer, "Beta zyada ho jatta hai" So every time i wash the dishes i get this soapy watery dish washing liquid but i always use the actual dish washing liquid. REVOLUTION!

Its not like that the Dish washing liquid is so expensive and that she can't buy more. She has 20 bottles in the cabinet but still she does that.
Khawa.. I do that with forzen stuff.. my mom froze me shami kabab and spring rolls when she went to Pakistan so I could use them and of course i kept them, just like you, for queen's visit!! Three months later, she came back and made us use those. :D

I’m like this with my perfumes I dunno why. I have absolutely tonnes of fragrances but like to conserve them and only ever use 1 over a period of time til it finishes and then another one :hinna:
And my printer ink absolutely hate my sisters wasting this.
^ Oh I used ot do that too....my special perfume was reserved for special occasions...til I noticed that my perfume had lost it's scent and whatever scent was there went away way too quickly (when before it would last forever).....it was almost 2 years old...so tough lesson learnt!

Sounds pathetic I know but it takes me so much time to make one of my favorite things:shami kababs..I just cannot afford to conusme them all up….I have to be very very very fond of a guest who I will serve my home mae kababs..
I used to be kanjoos about ball point pens when I was in college.I would use to go crazy if someone took one and did not return it or if I misplaed it.My sisters used to hide them just to have some fun at my expense..:(.I made sure I used up the entire thing before I started using a new one…
Favourite perfumes, expensive shoes and bags i'm really kanjoos with ( only wear them on special ocassions)If the perfume runs out I have to go immediately and purchase another one :( I'm still kanoos with my beautiful diaries and notepads :p I keep collecting them and tend to barely use them :)
