You can go to cinema or picnic spot with family. If you have more shraddha-bhakti then bear more than 50% of the expenses of the day.

Will decorate the bathroom mirror with paper heart around his side of the sink. Making his favorite breakfast (homemade parathas). Will decorate his car with hearts. Getting him basketball tickets to go to a game. Will make a coupon book for him to cash in for me to do his part of the household chores along with a jar of reasons why I love him.
He will probably take me out for dinner.
Still trying to plan something between breakfast and dinner... if the weather permits, maybe something outdoors. He doesn't have a favorite meal so I am very confused what to cook for lunch.

I don’t know why people hate Valentines day to the point where people say those who celebrate are faking their happiness, must not really be happy if they celebrate etc. Or get upset over any sort of affection shared on social media.

Convenience really. We're getting Nikkah'd on the day mainly because its a long weekend and that's when most people (family & friends) can make it. My dada's not well so we want to do the ceremony small, at home for his comfort and so he can be apart of it.
The NBA All Star game is on that day so we're gonna change into sweats and enjoy that with our friends after LOL.

I just don’t like the day because there shouldn’t be one specific day where you do something special for your SO and then forget about them for the rest of the year… Also the expectation part is pressure enough. That being said, me disliking the day is my opinion, just like I don’t hate on anyone who loves the day and goes all out. Different strokes, for different folks.

If one forgets about the SO for the rest of the year then there will be no one around next valentine's day to vent celebrate it with. The purpose is not to fake or force something on that day, but to reflect upon your feeling for that person that you have on regular basis.
Now expectation part, I agree is not good. But valentine's day activities should never be arranged as a surprise for the other party. It's a day for him, but a day for you too, so the arrangements should be mutual, so really no pressure.

It falls on a Sunday this year, so typical Sunday schedule for us.
