They put makeup on themselves to make it look like they’re bruised and bleeding all over, they put fake blood on a knife/sword and run after random people on the street? In Pakistan, that is.
I can’t remember what they’re called and what the purpose of the whole drama is supposed to be. I was about 8/9 years old when I had my first (and only, thank God!) encounter with one of them and I ran screaming like a little girl would! I ran into a shop and the shopkeeper uncle was like daro nahin beta, naqli hai woh, aap idhar baitho. So I sat there until the lunatic disappeared out of sight.
Yeah yeah laugh away, its funny now looking back at it! So yeah who the heck are those people? Do they still exist?
Okay I asked mama and she said they were called “Behroopiye” … and they pulled the stunt to make some money. People would give them some money out of sympathy.
I still can’t find a picture on Google, may be there isn’t one. I typed in behroopiye in Google and lots of politicians’ names popped up haha.
You can ask your elders about this, I’m not making it up.
