To those who merely used it to fan hatred or to divert to other irrelevant issues… get a life.
A majority seems to think that lack of education is probably one of the biggest problems facing Pakistan. While some people may argue that our shabby education system (peela school) is rotten because of lack of funds . Some people think corruption causes all our finances to go to waste, which all boils down to bad leadership . One reason for bad leadership is the **feudal culture **which does not allow deserving candidates to come out and win.
Pakistan really can’t do much about annoying neighbors , unless we give up all rights of Kashmir, hang Kashmiris to a wire and wash our hands off them. And additionally give our part of Kashmir back to India. That will be the perfect solution for Indians and is still no guarantee that India will not continue to eye the remaining Pakistan to figure out which piece it should get next.
On top of that we have two annoying problems created by our own people. The religious extremism and the provincial hatred . While religious extremism is fed by lack of education , provincial hatred is fanned by finite and limited resources shared by different regions and an over-populated country .
Yes, its a circular argument, but if you read the above passage you will figure out that the three biggest problems are
1. Feudal culture 2. Bad leadership 3. Bad geography
Feudal culture does not allow good leaders. Bad leadership wastes our resources in corruption and does not allow spending our resources on education and infrastrcture. Lack of education allows religious extremists to recruit people to fanatic ideologies, created over-population and bad management of our resources fans provincial hatred.
Even if we have a good leadership, our bad geography will mean we will continue to spend more than proportionate resources on the defence of our country due to its historic differences with the biggest neigbor. This disproportionately high spending on defence will mean smaller distribution to other essential services.
Good points. I think VVIP culture or ‘jeehuzoori’ is one of THE biggest reasons why Pakistani society in general is so lazy (dependent on others), selfish, illiterate, incompetent and backward. This curse promotes sifarish and corruption in almost every walk of life. Those in privileged positions (both civilian and military) abuse their power, position and privileges (because they know that there is no system of accountability and they can literally get away with anything) and are generally lazy. The higher you go in your field the less hard work you do unlike in western societies
