Re: What are considered to be 'good' brands in north america/canada?
If Burberry is cheap in Uk then do buy it as here in the US/ Canada it is considered expensive and a good brand. "Guess" is cheaper here so get this only if you are getting a very good deal.
No Burberry is not 'cheap' here by any means and it is considered a top quality, an all time classic and truly iconic luxury brand and very expensive (that is if you are not buying those hideously tacky bags and other accessories with fake Burberry check from Sunday markets). In short, Burberry is to Britain what Ralph Lauren is to US.

Ok so......
I got Burberry Perfume + Aftershave for 1 cousin and then asked him if he would like that and he was SO happy about it so thats 1 down.
Milly - If it was upto me I would really nice high street stuff but trust me they won't get it. I could buy some other crap bag half the price with burberry all over it and they would love it.
Its like when I go there...........they take me to all these designer stores because its what they like but all I want to do is go to forever 21!

Burberry is considered better than Ralph Lauren in the US. All I meant is if the spender can afford it, then by all means go for it. Most people in the U.S. will be impressed.
