Re: What are considered to be 'good' brands in north america/canada?
Take them some decent chocolate. They don't have decent chocolate over there.
Re: What are considered to be 'good' brands in north america/canada?
Agree with Milly. Take those GIANT tins of Roses, Celebrations, Maltesers and Ferrero Rocher.
Re: What are considered to be 'good' brands in north america/canada?
I was thinking Green and Blacks, Prestat, Charbonnel et Walker truffles. Selfridges has a good collection, but personally I prefer Liberty cos the purple bag is prettier than the lellow one.
Re: What are considered to be 'good' brands in north america/canada?
We are already taking a bunch of chocolates but they are very close family so have to take more than that!
Re: What are considered to be 'good' brands in north america/canada?
Ok, can I just say NO to FCUK. French Connection isnt very gifty in my opinion. What kind of presents do you need and for whom? Aunty and uncle wont appreciate some nice tea and biscuits from Fortnum and Mason? How old are the kids you're buying for?
Why do the gifts have to be a 'brand' Im sure they dont have Primarni over there!
Re: What are considered to be 'good' brands in north america/canada?
No aunty uncle gifts.
Cousins - all my age or 1 year older or younger - 2 guys and 2 girls.
Has to be branded as I want to get them something they like and they like brands.
Re: What are considered to be 'good' brands in north america/canada?
Alexandar McQueen! since we're dropping just any brand name that comes to mind.
hahahahahahahahh
oh, i know my brands arrite. im branded head to toe. im so coooooooooool.

every single small/big shop carries it....

Call me crazy, I don't like Ferrero Rocher. Everyone seems to stare at me like I just asked if I could devour their first born when they hear this.
On topic, for the males I suggest Fred Perry and Ben Sherman, not sure how expensive they are in UK but here in Aus they are very dear and pretty awesome. Probably the same for USA. Just go with british brands. Since its really cold in Canada, how about sweater/s from Fred Perry and Ben Sherman? Or a jacket?
One of my biggest investments was a Ben Sherman jacket I bought like 4 years ago. Still in tiptop condition and still not out of style.

I don't like Ferrero Rocher.
Me neither!! Yuck!
Re: What are considered to be 'good' brands in north america/canada?
Superdry
Re: What are considered to be 'good' brands in north america/canada?
If Burberry is cheap in Uk then do buy it as here in the US/ Canada it is considered expensive and a good brand. "Guess" is cheaper here so get this only if you are getting a very good deal.
Re: What are considered to be 'good' brands in north america/canada?
We need to take a bunch of gifts for family and friends in Canada.....they all like brands and we want to take gifts they will like of course.
I am not into brands at all - like i know everyone there loves Coach - which to me means nothing.
Are the following brands considered 'good'
FCUK - nope Deisal - maybe Pringle - nope Ralph Lauren - maybe Hilfiger - nope Burberry - yes
Here Burberry is not considered to be that classy at all but I know my uncle there loves it so I need some idea.
Thanks!
Burberry, Coach is fine (I think the Coach thing is done though), Ralph Lauren, Prada, etc.
Re: What are considered to be 'good' brands in north america/canada?
Fred Perry is for chavs! There I said it and now I feel better.
Ted Baker is acceptable. Guess is American and cheap as chips over there so don't buy them Guess from here.
Are you getting them clothes or accessories?
I personally don't think you need a 'brand' You need something nice. Not every branded item is going to be nice just cos it's got 'brand' stamped all over it.
Zara have some lovely handbags and scarves.

(googles what 'chavs' means)
Maybe in the UK.
I like fred perry. Don't have anything from there to be honest, but its on my list.
Re: What are considered to be 'good' brands in north america/canada?
Fred Perry probably didnt start off for chavs, but chavs have ruined Fred Perry and Burberry and Timberlands and Rockports, although the latter 2 were/are minging anyways.
Re: What are considered to be 'good' brands in north america/canada?
We call them esh lads here. Or just lads. Aussies like shortening things that have no need for shortening. Too flat out for two syllables.
Wow burberry is a chavs thing there? Here its quite expensive and considered almost luxurious.
Re: What are considered to be 'good' brands in north america/canada?
Fake Burberry is what chavs wear, the standard print. Im sure the non standard Burberry print stuff looks good but when someone say's Burberry I think 'chav'.
It's expensive here too, the thing with chavs is they have monies to buy fake or sometimes real Burberry as they dont pay for other stuff. If you know what I mean.
I forgot about the chavs that have monies! One doesnt have to be posh to have monies, especially if one is from Essix.
'esh' lads...what does 'esh' mean?
Re: What are considered to be 'good' brands in north america/canada?
^ This. And they have ruined Ugg boots too. Not that I was ever a fan anyway.
