I read an article in the paper recently stating that the average marriage age since the 1970s has risen for both men and women (the research was carried out in the UK - see below) and it made me think what the average age of marriage in Pakistani culture is these days. I know for my mum’s generation it was quite normal for girls to get married at 15-16, sometimes even younger. But looking at pictures of modern brides (just check the ‘BRIDAL PICS’ thread) women seem to be a lot older these days.
So, what age did you get engaged, and what age did you get married? And how old was your husband for both events?

Engaged: bride: 24; groom; 27

My hubby is three years older than me.

I think we're both still young. whenever I tell him that, he always says we should just marry at 40 then!

33 not engaged (as you said it - "not even")
but not depressed :D

I got engaged at 24.
Hubby is 3.5 years older than me.
