last Tuesday, I learned in class, that 43% of women who make more then $100,000 dollars will be childless by the time they hit 50. And abt a quarter of women who make more then $50,000 will be childless.
Needless to say, I was shocked! And am very determined not to be part of the 43%!!!
Anyways, when I was younger I wanted kids at about the age my mom had me…she was 19, and a tiny bit of me regrets not having kids then, because I LOVED having a young mother around! But school happened, and a promising career is in the works now…so now I’m thinking 27! hopefully I will find a guy before then to make it happen!!!
I used to want kids in my mid twenties. But I'm not stressing it so much because I'm way too busy in my life that I think I'd be unjust to the child. I have to find the right guy first. I'm not going to rush myself or him into marriage just to have kids by a certain age, or wind up divorced with or without kids because I was hell bent on sticking to my plan. Now I just think in the next 3 years I'll try to find the right guy. Kids, don't really know and that's way too ahead.
While I don't think it's wrong to get married and have kids at an early age... most if not all girls who are married and had kids very young will confess to their friends (maybe not to family members or their own kids in the future) that they wish they waited.
^ Maybe this might not be much of a reasoning, but a lot of women believe the perfect life includes the perfect home with the caring husband, some kids, perfect family, etc. Then you hear traditional sayings like "A woman is incomplete without a husband" or "A woman is incomplete if she doesn't become a mother." It's just pressure to aquire that "perfect" life and maybe even pressure from society- like nosy aunties asking a married girl why she doesn't have kids yet.
But one shouldn't want kids due to pressure from society, to have kids by a certain age, or because they think they'll achieve the perfect life. Have kids because you found the right guy and want to expand your family.
why do women (esp the ones who are not married yet) feel the urge/need to have kids? what is the rationale/reasoning?
Its natural. And then kids are so cute and heavenly :@:

yeah reasoning/rationale was not the right word to use. guess I'm trying to understand the thought process. 'cause I don't understand this desire to have kids that young women have.
why can't the perfect life stop with a good husband and beautiful house? why does practically everyone want kids? especially when a lot of ppl are not even suited to being parents? and who cares about the aunties. you can't listen to all the crazy uncles and aunties who want to butt into your life.

I want a kid for myself not because some aunty or uncle might say u need to have a kid.
Why is it questionable to want to have a kid?
Why is it a perfect life **with **a husband and a beautiful house?
Why a house either?
why a husband?
nahi nahi…its soooo scary to have baby girls these days…this world is a cruel place…I’ll be a nervous wreck if I have 2 girls…I’ll be such a crazy mom and I’ll be too strict
