What about women watching/reading porn?

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

Diwana mere bhai porn industry banatay hee educated log hain. Its nothing to do with education much.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

That may be true and no denying, but the consumers are those who have some kind of frustrated, curious, having an urge to something out of 'norm' or accepted norm etc.

And those people who are the consumers (as well as the participants) **mostly **come from not so educated class.

Please read below my response to other poster.

Youre kidding yourself.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

Agreed.

It is a very separate debatable topic if Pakistan today really is the representative of Islamic teachings.

No it is not. No matter how much Pakistan is bashed based on so called Islamic country, it was and has always been religiously neutral and/or the *follower of people of OTHER THAN ISLAM have ruled this country so far.
*

** People of Pakistan are consistently fooled that Pakistan is Islamic country. In reality it is not, in its full/entire meaning.
**

Just as an extension:

Interestingly enough, Non-Muslim powerful countries whenever they feel like, can make Pakistani judiciary, Cabinet members, foreign ministers, Ambassador(s), ANY rulers and Army to bow to them.

All it takes is a phone call. :)

My comment was based on above 25000 people survey in US....where people do not allegedly have reason to be shy (at least that is the perception which is created)

I had the link of that survey and will be glad to spend time to search it if asked. But the survey concluded that those who admitted to watching porn on that survey were mostly from middle class.

I think, the porn watching not as rule limited to a particular class. But the porn industry thrives on people who lack morality and and large number of people who approve porn and openly admit without any hesitation belong to lower middle class. They have not much to lose in terms of their reputation.

Now,

We can make assumptions and make jokes that those who deny watching porn for fun are liars. Fine by me. :)

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

In actuality, you are.

The reason why there is a misconception about educated class is because the news media highlights it.

There are news of religious people like priests and conservative Christians indulging in porn watching and then news come when a college professon is caught watching porn etc. etc.

In reality the largest consumers (just by looking at numbers) are NOT the educated or religious class of people.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

this world is not about creating a sexual utopia for men..sorry to burst your bubble. my point was only that sexuality is kept so hush hush in pakistan/islamic countries and boys may get an escape through discussing/watching porn, while women/girls discussing/exploring their sexuality is a big No No. i'm not saying every woman is hypersexual---the species spans along a wide spectrum but i think being sexually aware/unoppressed is every woman's right just as it is every man's.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

On the topic, I must say

1- Porn has different emotional impact on different people.

2- And this is also true for different sexes.

*3- Most women do not find porn tasteful. Most men do, but still depending of their background and social status.
*

4- After a certain time and age of the person and even with different life experiences, both men and women may not find porn so important to make it a part of their lives and just keep going about their lives without even having any interest in it or thinking about it seriously.

5- And that does not have to with hormone surge or horny nature.

There are people with different sexes and different backgrounds who still do not feel the need to watch porn for their entire lives and their face turn red if it is mentioned and they do stay happy without it.

Your ignorance, stubborness, and absolutely ridiculous behaviour is the stuff of legend diwana.

Your posts show much you actually know and understand; nothing.

And don’t bother pointing out the irony behind the video link.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

Is that it?

First you said “Youre kidding yourself”

Then this.

And you think you are making a point?

Really?

Sure!.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

It isn't that they find it tasteful. Most men are aware that the overwhelming majority of porn is tasteless and vulgar. They just aren't bothered by it.

Please read carefully. You will my find my point.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

If you put it this way then maybe so.

I said sure!, ............didn't I? ;)

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

Ofcourse. That goes without saying.

But the question was how men feel about women's interest in porn. I was responding to the wishful thinking of some men that unrestrained female sexuality will make it easier for most men to obtain sex.

What about women watching/reading porn?

Whoever said porn is only purchased by people in the middle class and educated people don't engage watching in pornographic films is a complete joke. You make it sound like a fact. How do you really know if your referring to numbers in Pakistan.

The porn business is huge and these people who actually make these movies are millionaires the same way the are in Hollywood. Their film makers and the actors in those movies are also attached to fame and fortune. It has nothing to do with class or education. There is no particular social class, they sell to a market, like in anything else. Porn in the West is not associated with any group of people so I'm not sure where you got these "numbers" from.

Just saying. There are a bunch of government officials and celebrities involved in sexual scandals and their class really has nothing to do with it except for the fact that they have more money than others to spend. Don't be so naive.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

Don't bother S and S.

Trying to explain something to Diwana is like shooting birds at night in a country where there are few birds.

You will be more productive if you yelled at a cup of coffee trying to heat it up.

I think his school teachers may have killed themselves. Maybe. Can't be too sure.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

First I am sorry if I made comment on middle class or ghetto living people and it might have come across as generalization. Not really.

Your example of Govt. Officials or celebrities is invalid since they do not belong to a larger number as compared to middle class or Ghetto living mentality.

Politicians come from many different backgrounds themselves and do not necessarily represent educated or high class people. They just get elected based on party affiliations or many other reasons,… and same goes for celebrities.

Since when ‘celebrities’ represent educated class?

Here is a study from U.S. and it shows much more middle class people admitted to watching porn than poor class.

Pornography in the American Social Strata :: Papers

Sorry for the cut and paste but I wanted to quote excerpt of this survey/study.

In terms of class, our hypothesis was that the
lower class would have the highest rate however, we were wrong. Only
5.8 percent of the lower class surveyed admitted to having watched
porn whereas both the working and middle classes admitted much more.
Within the working class, 48.9 percent of people admitted to having
watched porn as well as 42.2 percent of the middle class.
In terms of
strength in religious affiliation, our hypothesis was that people with
less religious affiliation would be more likely to have watched porn,
in some ways, we were correct…

Moreover, to your RED bold part, you are incorrect. Just like in many other places, West also has certain different groups of people based on many criteria who watch or do not watch porn.

Are you saying, all across west, porn is equally watched by people? Really?

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

Frustrated much? ;)

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

A strange thought came to me a few minutes ago in regards to the topic of the thread. Would a guy be more embarrassed if his grown daughter walked in on him having sex or watching porn? Both scenarios would be embarrassing, but the latter would be more so. The latter, I imagine, would produce a greater feeling of disgust and might be harder to shake off...maybe cuz it involves a sense of objectification...or a greater sense if it. I might be wrong and I'm not sure why the thought entered my mind all of a sudden, but it did.

Frustrated much?
[/quote]

Lol?

Why would not being able to explain something to you cause me frustration? Hahahah.

Not everybody loves you as much as you do.
Actually no one else does. But dont feel bad!

I can’t confirm if the amount is equal but quite a lot and by many high and low, so yes that’s exactly what I am saying. You should come out of your little bubble, there’s a whole world out there.

Btw, the link of the statements you posted is an essay. Meaning (just in case FYI) it’s been written based on someone’s opinion and at best written by high school students. Can hardly be considered factual or a study. It’s completely biased to limited knowledge and hardly thorough. And it’s kind of cute you thought of this as a study. Reminds me of the times I used to help my brother with his homework in grade school.

And the part about politicians not being educated… Should I even bother? Just come outside for a second, I promise, it’ll open your eyes to a whole new world.

And lastly, your use of “ghetto living mentality” is highly offensive.
