What about women watching/reading porn?

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

Yes my posts were blunt, partially because I didn't feel the need to obstain from expressing my thoughts in the fear of being argued against.
Let's break it down into simple words. Refuting against something demands legitimate evidence, whereas opininionated generalizations don't.

Anyway, this is my last post in this thread. Carry on everyone.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

50 shades of grey and what about romance novels? I browsed through some in my free time that i received for free for some sales gimmick and boy were they steamy.

women do drool over hot guys but perhaps not much compared to men.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

Hello none of the guys are answering the question. What if they found out their wives were watching porn?

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

^ i did in post #2 :)

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

Peopl who watch it (men n women ) are on wrong track.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

Women have their own set of bigotries, hypocrisies and faults. They have their own double standards they hold against men.

Its just that society rarely likes to remind women of them. Women are supposed to be coddled like children and made to feel good about themselves, so they remain blissfully unaware of their prejudices and bigotry.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

People here will tell you how amusing it is for you to school me in law :chai:

The person making high claims is the one required to back up their words with evidence. Otherwise in the normal world the lack of doing so means any claim or opinion is treated as nonsense. I could say anyone who only believes in SpongeBob as God is truly happy or I could say every woman believes a fairy flies by their room every morning. It would be according to your logic an ‘‘opinionated generalistation’’ however this opinion would remain nonsense and be treated as such till I back this up with some sort of evidence. Which is why everyone laughs at racists or sexist men in our society. All of them make silly opinionated rambles with little or no evidence. You saying most men are hypocrites IS such a claim.

I ask you again, how are your views any different than a woman-hating man? The only difference in the opinions would be genders.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

men would be pleased knowing a whole new world was about to open up to them, their wives are on board and things are gonna shake!

ya. neways.... i read 50 shades... i woukdnt count it as porn. its so badly written,,, i felt nothin sexually but instead absolute anger. ok ok... i wont start again... but really.... thats not porn.

as for mr tall...he rolled his eyes . thats all.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

The only 50 shades of grey in my possession are paint samples and fabric swatches :snooty:

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

I doubt most men would be that bothered.. Yeah, they exist but I've never come across a guy who's compained about it... ever..

I know a lot of (white) girls who admit to watching it nowadays..

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

I agree with khawateen that 50 Shades of Grey is atrociously written and don't understand what all the fuss is about. It's rather like Twilight for adults. I must confess, though, that I only read about 5 pages before my inner grammar nazi forced me to stop on account of the bad writing.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

what about the turkish and arab demographics?

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

When u have porn so widely & easily available, u will have women watching it, no wonder many women now in west even confess of being addicted to porn which in turn leads to risky sexual behaviours

It's sad that porn has become acceptable despite all the documented ill effects on those acting in it and those consuming it.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

White girls aren't shy when it comes to admitting to watching porn.. Haven't come across many others who'll happily admit it to it.. even here in London..

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

The lady is right to some extent, go easy on her. I don't think women watch porn as often as men do. But to suggest we'd all get angry at our wives watching porn? I'd call it selective hypocrisy. If it's lesbian porn, "Honey, you are pretty cool". Two girls one guy, "You should invite your friend over someday :)". Sadomasochism a la 50 shades of grey, "Uh, you sure about that?". Men outnumbering women, this is only time we'll throw an anger tantrum.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

Porn is an abomination mate, I would get angry at anyone watching it. It's simply unnatural.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

Calm down you two..we are here to discuss not to fight plz

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

I see lot of women going crazy over actors like, fawad khan, ali zafar etc praising them openly as if its absolutely fine, and the moment you say something about neha dhupia aur sonam kapoor, it becomes inappropriate and unacceptable, how come?

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

^I quite agree with you. Although not quite the same as watching porn, I have noticed the pattern that you've mentioned. Women openly comment that they find a certain actor/celeb attractive, BUT heaven forbid their husbands make any remark about finding any actress/celeb even remotely good looking. The reply often consists of catty comments along the lines of "omw..she is plain, ugly, fake, has had plastic surgery, etc." Interestingly, guys don't really make such comments when they're wives state that they find male celebs attractive. I'm rather curious as to why that is.

Re: What about women watching/reading porn?

Men watch porn because they desire to do the same acts in real life with real women they come across.
I have a strong feeling that when women watch porn or read those novels they just want it to be part of their fantasy world.

I always want to say this to women, who are uncomfortable over or threatened by mens pervasive interest in porn, that there is nothing in porn that the average woman cannot do in real life. Whether you might enjoy it or not is a different question but its not a matter of ability or having certain coveted qualities. Its not a matter of men not finding you acceptable.

Surely porn is catching up with women. Women's consumption of porn is highly under reported. It may come as a surprise that male pornstars known for the most violent, degrading and misogynistic scenes have the biggest female fan following.

I'm not sure how men should collectively respond to womens growing interest in this. Do I rejoice that women are becoming 'sexually uninhibited? Some people here are saying that if porn becomes popular with women; men will benefit. I don't know. Do I benefit? Do you personally benefit Something tells me that men wont like the outcome if women become sexually unrestrained. I'm not talking in a relationship context but looking at the bigger picture.
