I once visited Galvasten city/beach, TX with very high hopes. I liked the city (shopping area) because I like old buildings & stuff but the beach was 
The suburbs of Dallas such as Plano seemed to be good for living plus SugarLand in Houston.
new freeways, new cities, Rice Uni - But Texas is boring sorry to say.
