Chicago
likes-
1)the place just friggin rocks, the cultural life, architecture, city festivals, diversity in places of dining, entertainment
2)good public transport system in the city and adjoining areas
3)lake front
4) Ohare- can get a flight to pretty much anywhere, pretty much any day of the week
dislikes-
1)traffic
2)public transport system in suburbs- going to city and back is fine, but from suburb to suburb is not very easy
3)lake front- when them arsewipes of wisconsin dump sewerage into the lake..
etc. bacteria count goes up so u cant enjoy teh lake.
4) Ohare- skies sneeze and you have 4 hour delays

- No sports arena.
- Few quality resturants.
- Lacks diversity.

These r the things i love abt London:
1. Theres so many ppl here from all over the place-its so diverse
2. The shopping is fab-b it for central london where u have Selfridges and Harrods down to Green Street in East London for all ur asian things
3. U can have any kind of food u want here-the choice of restaurants is mad!
Things i dont like:
1. The tube(underground) is awful in the summer and theres always delays
2. Taxes r far too high in the UK.
3. Theres too many drivers on the roads. Tonnes of traffic.

Likes:
1.The weather is just perfect..We get 4 seasons…one different from the other…instead of ususally the 2’s in north:)…reason why we moved from Chicago…the weather sucks there big time…
2. A good clean place to raise kids.Universities and schools r great.
3. Houses r big and spacious,…like they say everything is big in texhaaaas…
Real State is amazing…Newer cleaner places..and did I mention cheaper..
4. Few desis, where I live anyway:D
5.Really goood roads..if u like long drives…this is the place to be…roads never end:S
Dislikes
1.Not a lot to do, one really has to try to find things…then again maybe I havent looked hard enough.
2. Gets a wee bit tooo hot in summer:D
3. Nothing else to do then malls in summer
4.Nothing else to do…

here’s mine --------------- " Bay Area" CA
likes ; ( i’ve many)
- real nice + friendly people ( yeah i mean goras & most of immigrants including muslims)
- weather is pretty moderate throughout the year (spring is sooo beautiful)
- diversity in culture + zabihah food + entertainment activities both indoor & outdoor like nice beaches + trails + theme parks + ski areas + San francisco at few minutes ( 30 min - 2 / 3 hr) scenic drive
- uncrowded , pollution free
dislikes ;
- karachi wali tou baat hi nahee ( blackout past 9 pm
) - high cost of living ( hurts when it’s time to pay tax:aj: )
- public transport is so so

likes:
1-nice houses and apartments(new city)
2-very peaceful no rush like city life(i hate too much crowd)
3-Nice place to brought up children here and they will definately go to CA which is near
4- nice weather(accept three mnths)
5-very nice and cheap living with good money:D
Dislikes:
1-it gets too warm in summer:bummer:
2-u have to drive atleast 5 hour to 
to go anywhere like disney land or Las vegas
3-One cannot do anything accept swimming or malls:bummer: in summer children can do swimming only
4-No big universities one has to go to California for that and CA living really sucks

Thing about AZ, least in phoenix/scottsdale area is that it's a little 'stripmallish' like and not enough culture (minus hispanic of course).

People's Republic of Boulder (County)
1) Natural Beauty! Right at the edge of Rockies. Some spring/summer days I walk out my door and the scene is breath taking.
2) Great educational institutions. Most high schools are listed top in the nation and a number of public universities within driving distance of each other.
3) Great standard of living, when compared to the cost of living. Things to do both for family and single, not away from wilderness but not away from a big city like Denver. Cost of housing etc.
Dislikes;
1) Not a strong/big religious community.
2) Away from coast, dry weather and sometimes harsh winters.
3) Away from relatives who are mostly concentrated in the east coast, and thus away from Pakistan/Europe.

Orange County, California
Likes:
- Beaches (all :love: within miles). Disney Land is very close to my place. Plus close to theme parks etc. Good restaurants. Multicultural
- Temp. is usually a little better than other counties. it gets hot but not as much.
- security :k: . Traffic is way better than Los Angeles etc.
- Good institutions including school districts, Uni, Islamic school etc etc.
Dislikes:
- Expensive
- no malls/shopping after 8pm. (but its like that everywhere in USA) and it gets really boring.
- Its not Lahore

I have lived in so many cities - each one had great things & worst too. Presently I am living in Prague.
Likes:
1) Perfect sized - not small not big.
2) Brilliant transport system & a very good underground (only three lines though)
3) Not much diverse yet pretty much multi-cultured.
4) Reasonable flight connections to Europe & North America.
5) Brilliant night life.
6) Almost no Pakistanis, very few indians. Virtually desi-PAK city.
7) Easy approach to all parts of Europe by car (best feature for me).

Dislikes
1) Old generation still thinks foreigners as invaders.
2) Extremely difficult language (not easy to learn).
3) Most people dont speak English, rather speak German.

What's the "like" in having a desi free city, or a dislike in having too many desis? Is self hatred so common on Gupshup? Do you think goras say this? Can you imagine a gora saying "Nah.. Dubai sucks, too many goras" or a gori saying "Went to a club in Hong Kong, full of Americans, it sucked because of that". Why not?
