Re: West Indies v England 5th Test @ Port of Spain, Trinidad
Close Close match.
England will count themselves unlucky. They could have won both here and at Antigua (3rd test) where they failed to dislodge the last wicket pair of Powell and Edwards
Let the media rondi begin now......:D
Tomorrow's tabloids I can almost bet will elude to that fact.....England should have won this series but were denied by blah blah
don’t forget the bashing of the Pitches and the referral-system ![]()
True. Atleast England cannot complain now of lack of batting practice ahead of the all important Ashes series.
Another close match.
Another century for Kevin Pieterson.
Golden Asif how many tests has it taken Kevin Pieterson to get his 16th centurt?
Pietersen has 16 hundreds in 50 tests

Thank you Golden Asif.
Impressive record - don’t you think 16 100’s in 50 tests?
I was hoping that you would mention this fact yourself without being asked about it.
You normally state/mention similar stats for a certain player(s).](“http://content.cricinfo.com/wiveng2009/content/current/player/19296.html”)

Yes Pietersen's stats (ave. 51.09) are impressive. But he has not even played international cricket for 4 years. He is certainly England's best batsman currently but he has someway to go before his name can be mentioned in the same breath as Tendu or Ponting. He needs to keep performing for another 6 or 7 years before he can be regarded as a truly great batsman.
Hayden had something like 26 hundreds by the time he had played 80 tests
Anyone averaging over 50 after playing 100 odd tests is a great in my book. Not sure if I would call Chanderpaul great though!!
btw Younis Khan (16 hundreds) is averaging 51.80 in 60 tests :)
I don’t think so bearing into account Pieterson record and ability in ODI combined with his test record.
However, only bastman who may have an edge over Pieterson in test is Mohammed Yousaf but than again he is not part of the current squad.

Yah maan - ONLY 4 years and 16 hundreds in 50 tests.
Not comparing him to the likes of Tendulkar / Pointing; unlike some people tried to compare so called retired legend to these guys.
