Impressive record - don't you think 16 100's in 50 tests?
I was hoping that you would mention this fact yourself without being asked about it.
You normally state/mention similar stats for a certain player(s).
Yes Pietersen's stats (ave. 51.09) are impressive. But he has not even played international cricket for 4 years. He is certainly England's best batsman currently but he has someway to go before his name can be mentioned in the same breath as Tendu or Ponting. He needs to keep performing for another 6 or 7 years before he can be regarded as a truly great batsman.
Hayden had something like 26 hundreds by the time he had played 80 tests
Anyone averaging over 50 after playing 100 odd tests is a great in my book. Not sure if I would call Chanderpaul great though!!
btw Younis Khan (16 hundreds) is averaging 51.80 in 60 tests :)
