^ I have played with Bazid Khan and he is no laidback thing. An energetic character with stylish batting style. Hope he takes the chance if given.

inclusion of bazid khan is this team is senseless. with already so many batsmen [almost all of them performing] why include another batsman? where exactly are they planning to put bazid in this lineup? a new bowler would have been an ideal choice.

I am glad Bazid got a chance. We are still looking for that opener with Butt. Whoever succeeds out of Bazid or Yasir will get the spot. No space in the line up?? Hello, Inzi and Shoaib are banned for the 1st Test match. We needed the extra batsmen.

i still think that umar gul shud have been given a chance...but i don't knwo the details..looks like a good squad...although we may miss shoiab in the tests?

bazid khan will probably be playing in the first test since inzi will be missing, pluss he can be tried as an opener. For me the number 1 choice for an opener is salman butt and since wooler is trying opening combinations there is no harm in trying bazid khan. We have plenty of talented batsmen in the domestic cricket such as faisal iqbal. His chances of getting into the side as a middle order batsman is very little in presnece of inzi, youhana, younis and asim so i guess he can be tried as an opener too in future if we don't see a good opening combination in WI series

Faisal Iqbal is a middle order batsman, and he has failed most of the chances he has been given so including him esp on top of order is only invitation to more failures. Faisal Athar on other hand has performed consistently in domestic as opener, he should be tried instead of Faisal in case Yasir doesn’t do well.

I know he is a middle order batsman.I havent followed his domestic peeformance lately but have heard that he has performed well. If he or any other batsmen wants to get in the side as a middle order it will be highly unlikely. So sometimes you have to chage your strategy to get desirable results. Indians tried yuvrag as an opener, th idea was right but didn’t work althuogh they should have given youvag more chances. Australians have tried clark as an opener by dropping hayden, althoough clark is a natural no. 6.
I don’t know abt faisal ather, if he is derserving he should geta chance. However I have a feeling that for next couple of series the only slot left now in the current side for any batsmen is the opening position.

it's a lousy decision to not take shabi and gul to the caribbean. shabi back from injury and bang!!! rite on the money, a 5 wicket haul in a 20twenty match.. wat more can the guy do. + gul say's he has fully recovered from his back injury so it's werid y he is being labelled as unfit.

Even Saeed Anwar was a middle order batsman at first, but he realized the only opportunity he would get is in opening. Class players don't care about positions; they adjust themselves through hard work.

I have seen Faisal Iqbal. He needs one good innings to get his confidence right at international cricket. I don’t think he would be able to adjust to opening though; he shuffles too much. Bazid, I haven’t seen much of. Hassan Raza is someone who was just wasted and I think he did have that class.

i was impressed by faisals batting against australia in one of the tests, I think he has some potential...haven'tsee bazid khan...not sure about hassan raza...

Hasan raza is a class act and I think he has matured with time, given that he was introduced to the International arena in his teen Pakistan should have stuck with him but Oh-well!!! we all know PCB.
Bazid is in favor coz of Inzi, I did see him playing and he is classy in his shots just need time to settle in.
As far as Faisal Ather and Faisal Iqbal are concerned, Ather is getting close to his 30's and if he doesnt get his chance within a year he is out of contention. and Faisal Iqbal he is the sour grape in the throat of PCB coz he is from Karachi and 2nd he is a relative of Javed Miandad.
other players to watch out for the future are...
Usman Tariq <----> good middle order batsman and handy left arm spin bowler.
Mansoor Amjad <----> I wont be surprised if he is included in 16 by next year.
Salman Qadir <----> abdul Qadir's son decent Off-spinner and pretty good batsman and a nice fielder.
Yasir Arafat <---> needs time more like shadow of Razzaq just need to be groomed.
