That highlighted part is a big no no .. as far as my limited knowledge goes You are not allowed to break their bones or do anything to them till the time that their body movement stops .. as long as they are still alive and twitching their muscles etc.. they should be left on their own in those last moments..
I remember the qasai who used to come to our house on bakra eid, after cutting the throat , the animal would be left alone, and the qasai would check after every few minutes to see if there is any Jaan in it.. water would be poured over its throat (I dont know the reason, maybe to ease the process of rooh nikalna). The skinning process would start only after it was completely still.

Well I meant they throw it on the table until it stops shaking...but I dunno man, Its all happening so fast, that maybe they sometimes might accidentally do it when it has SOME jaan in it be it very little!
