Hmm how about learning to spell properly first?
Can you read arabic( Holy Quran) , Urdu is almost same( you will need some to learn more alphabets).
and i said "kya majira hai"(in my head so proud of myself for using such a big urdu word correctly) and he could not stop laughing! When I asked him why he was cracking up, he said that its something from the 1940s and no one talks like that anymore :-/
Oh and another thing that gets him is when I say "yaad bhool gaya" lol drives him crazy! Do other people say that too ?
Lol
it is soooooooooooooooo cute.
Desperate for to listen this , how you will be pronouncing this?.

Re: Wellknown Pharases Heard in Pakistanis Cities
Most of Punjabi 'wellknown pharases' heard in Lahore cannot be repeated here in view of decency in these forums and people asking for 'explanation'.
One of the decent ones I like is 'tussi oothay umb lain gai si?' (did you go there to get mangoes?)
It is used normally when you expect a person to go somewhere and do something for you and he/she returns unsuccessful.
