Initially I learned Urdu from books , Radio and TV etc ,
When I went to Karachi , I was finding difficulty with some very wellknown Urdu phrasses.

Not sure if you can classify these as phrases. Phrases would be stuff like "bhens kay agay been bajana', "ulta chor kotwal ko dantay" etc.
What you described above are slangs, that have been publicized because of incoherent reasons.....more like 'juggatein'.
Re: Wellknown Pharases Heard in Pakistanis Cities
kadu!....i dont know its meaning!
Hmm how about learning to spell properly first?
Holy cow! This almost sounds like a new language.
I can’t remember any phrases right now but your learning urdu from books reminded me that the other day me and my hubby were walking and out of nowhere we started talking in urdu(we normally talk in english) anyways he made a face and i said “kya majira hai”(in my head so proud of myself for using such a big urdu word correctly) and he could not stop laughing! When I asked him why he was cracking up, he said that its something from the 1940s and no one talks like that anymore :-/
Oh and another thing that gets him is when I say “yaad bhool gaya” lol drives him crazy! Do other people say that too ?

Yes Urdu spoken in the streets of Karachi is entirely different than the one in the books.
I am laughing out loud at this one too.
