And what makes you think we don't? Muslims in America contribute in many other ways. By merely sending our kids to public schools, even if it exposes them to ridicule and hate, we are bringing the true message is Islam to this country. That is our mujaheda. Do you think they will learn anything good about Islam if they simply follow the news? Every other day we are fighting for masajids, madaris, cemetaries, islamic schools, etc., all within the framework of law. Do you think NYC schools simply decided to declare muslim holidays overnight? A lot of Muslims worked for it.
I don't know about others, but I've always welcomed criticism of US policy. In fact, if you are American, it is your duty to question and criticize it. But like I said before US is bigger than its Presidents and its policies. And the idea of America, you have to know it to appreciate it.
I was not saying efforts are not being done ... I meant that efforts to get something done for Muslims and for Blacks far outweighs efforts for others because we see ourselves as people lobbying and asking from the powers above rather than trying to become the powers above by integrating in to the power structure ... We seem to do things that are helping us ... But we do not do enough to help others ... Or the wider community.

I was comparing desi Americans on this forum to other members from different nationalities and location. I don't see British or European desis whining or going mad with anger for bashing their governments.

Practice what you preach, Shamraz. The guy has the full right to criticise American policies just like you have the right to criticise Saudi policies. But the difference between you two is that Zafra would criticise any and every wrong done by any and every country...he doesn't take sides just because he belongs to that country or lives in that country.

Right, so because you can't take criticism on the internet and get your panties in a twist thus I should quit my job. LMAO! I love you guys so very very much. The amount of petty vindictiveness is amazing. You can't best me in a discussion on the immoral activities of the US so you make it personal. And you do it while breaking the most fundamental of US principles. Freedom of speech. Its pretty sweet that I warrant his much attention in your lives :D

@psyah bhi you are right. The concept of Freedom of speech is full of deception. You have a right to express your opinions as long as you do so in a way, that does not materially and substantially disturbs and hurt others, as long as you are not insulting others. For example, if i insult anyone on this forum, i will be banned and my posts will be removed. So where is my right of freedom of expressions? Hundreds of guppies were banned just becz they insulted others. Now if you are in favor of this so called limitless freedom of expression concept, it means mods treated these banned guppies unfaily . Mods should have let these banned gupies insult others under the cover of freedom of Speech, on this forum. Buzdil Mods. Hopocrisy at its best.........! Even the biggest supporter of freedom of speech, the pope francis said, you can not insult the others' faith, but as i said earlier, these guys are next level patriots, so it is their moral duty to defend such things. Besides, Muslims never ever Insulted Jesus , Mosus Christianity and Judaism. Muslims believe in Jesus (A.S) and Moses (A.S) as Prophets of ALLAH. anyone who insults these Prophets, is brought to book, under the same law.

^ agree with everything. Only scumbags go out of their way to insult religions and religious figures. The only point is - this should not be punishable offense.
The mod example is apples to oranges. A forum sets rules. And is within rights to ban folks if rules are broken. (I am stating in general and not taking a position on specific bans.) Similarly a company can fire u if u make disrespectful comments abt religion orientation gender etc.
The line stops there. No punishment needed.

You Missed it completely, we are not talking about fruits or apples and oranges, it is a serious discussion, so be serious here. Freedom of speech concept is universal. You have a right to say whatever you wanna , as long as you are not hurting and insulting others, not only on this forum but also in our daily life, in our offices, in our schools, in our society.. You should definitely get a green card so you can join us and pay taxes instead of just enjoying the privileges this country offers you everyday.
