weird abayas

Re: weird abayas

No it has nothing to do with the personality. I've no right to call someone a slut or whore, but there is a certain way of dressing that goes along with the label. The dressing and behavior are not always connected :D

Re: weird abayas

Okay I would SO get this one made, with a silky colored lining underneath when it splits open. THe one in the back, the model coming out, is soooooo nice too

Re: weird abayas

Sadiyah, every female has a bit of animal inside her. Even abayah-clad females. At least that is how I'm interpreting HSY's message here. I love that man. He's daring.

Re: weird abayas

yes ofcourse we're all humans but then again they wouldn't go around exposing themselves like that

like sara said you can wear anything you want under the abaya but not necessarily the type HSY has in mind

Re: weird abayas

:hehe: abaya ki sharm o haya kahaN ghaib hogaee?

Re: weird abayas

why not the kind that HSY has in mind? Muslim women are allowed to be kinky, as long as its with their husband ;)

Re: weird abayas

exactly, u can be kinky all you want but you hafta keep it on the down low

can’t go around flauntin’ it off like in the above pics

Re: weird abayas

Chorni, its a fashion show. Its art. The average woman wont go buy it and wear it on the streets. Comon sense woman.

Re: weird abayas

That's what I been trying to say but u can't get it thru to some ppl. I guess an exposed leg makes one lose cmmon sense :D

Re: weird abayas

yes it’s common sense to make abayas look like slutty fashion stuff

i don’t care what kind of “art” they want to show off, i wouldn’t even care if they wear feathers or dress like chickens, but c’mon why would you wana take something that’s supposed to be modest and make it look like a total bukwas

im sorry but i fail to see the common sense in that

Re: weird abayas

PCG i understand that its art n all but somethings shouldtn be messed with..I personally hate even those models that have all that makeup on and are modeling for real abayas but i have to admist some of them are really sexy

Re: weird abayas

because in reality, there is a lot of filth that gets hidden under "modesty".

Re: weird abayas

Since when is clothing sacred? I'm sorry I fail to see how stitched pieces of cloth are considered "sacred" or "Islamic" or "un-Islamic." These models, this fashion show, it's representing the dual nature of women. Now you can criticize the models all you want for prancing around half-naked but thas the truth. Every woman has the two sides to her, modest and "wild." No you shouldn't go around flaunting it like those models, but that's another story. Saying that one shouldn't mess around with an abaya is almost akin to saying thongs are "haram"

Re: weird abayas

errr hun no!!!!! But an abaya is worn because a woman wants to cover her body (or it should be)...its a fact that its worn by muslim women, especially arab. Now when he knows the purpose of it, why mess with it? I think it depends on how much u respect women who wear abayas. For me, they are much much much better than me, i respect them alot, regardless of wat some might do while wearing an abaya or watever is underneath it. I respect them and I dont like the way he altered it to show watever he saw.

Re: weird abayas

HSY, anyone woulda expected it from them. Its a shame they are Pakistanian

Re: weird abayas

Yeah and you can’t get a proper abaya, taking cues from those designs above? Like I said, it don’t gotta be see through, it doesn’t have to have all those splits without any fabric underneath. And like I said to Sadiyah, it ahs nothing to do with behavior, but rahter style of dressing, which do not always go together. I never said it’s not supposed to cover ur body, and if anyone acutally decided to wear that as an “abaya” is an idiot. :halo: But I’m gonna stop now since I’m getting accused of attacking Islam.

Re: weird abayas

i didnt say that..I am just saying why i find it offending and u dont. Theres plenty of other ways to show art/style, do watever they like....just leave this alone.

Re: weird abayas

Iv seen women wear such abayas out on the streets. Common sense is what we are lacking. Apart from common sense we also lack the sense to diffrentiate between what is right and wrong. Bring in the two words fashion and art…and everything becomes legal.

Re: weird abayas

What streets have u been walking on?
