Weight Watchers...

Re: Weight Watchers...

No.. Sadly everything WW has is paid. But you know simply writing what I ate and its pts helped me better than using WW tools online. Going to my computer each time was not something I looked forward too. I kept a pen and paper in kitchen and my WW book.. it was much easier.

Re: Weight Watchers...

please share more WW recipes (desi ones)!

also, you use the scale to weigh out portions of your meal? those of you who have been on WW and cooked/ate desi meals, can you give us an idea of what desi foods (and portions) are how many points? ex: one roti = X pts, one cup of biryani= X pts, etc, etc

my baby is a year old...but i still have all my baby weight and want to lose it :(

I wanna join you guys too InshAllah will after 2-3 weeks. I don't think I will.be ready for exercise anytime soon but I can tweak my diet.
I know WW allows nursing mothers on their program but just not pregnant ones.

Weight Watchers...

Reha can we do two meetings, one for weigh ins and one for middle of the week when you sort id begin to fall of so ppl can check in n kinda support each other. For some reason gs chat doesnt work on my laptop but maybe its a glitch thing.

Honestly i just added up palak ghosth and for a 5 oz serving siZe it was 7 points with 4 tbsp oil to 1 kilo goat meat (lean) and equal part palak so that isnt bad. Like daal with 1 tbsp oil baghar is 3 points for every cup. Personally for me getting a food scale helped me not overeat.

Re: Weight Watchers...

Yeah I think two times a week is a good idea.. But I do want to clear this... its 1 pts per teaspoon.. not tablespoon.

Weight Watchers...

Is it because i just added that palak ghosth up and i did about 8 servings and each serving was coming up 7 points for 5 oz

Weight Watchers...

1tbsp of oil is like 4 points and if u are using about 2 tbsp per pound of meat, unless u are having the whole salan, think it should be about a point minimun per oz. dahi adds on alag points

Re: Weight Watchers…

^^^ oh i didn’t write what I was talking about :smack:.. 1 tsp of OIL = 1 pt.

Re: Weight Watchers...

I don't see why we couldn't do two meetings.

What's good for everyone? WhatsApp? If that's easier, I am on board.

Okay so one meeting on Monday for weigh ins and one meeting on Wednesday or Thursday for accountability?

Look what i found at the grocery store

Re: Weight Watchers…

when are we officially starting? :halo:

Re: Weight Watchers...

Yeah I think we need an official start date... There is so so much information about WW online, even if you guys don't have the WW resources, just google it. There are so many websites dedicated to this.

So sine Reha started this, lets see what date she suggest for starting this diet.

Re: Weight Watchers…

This is one of my favorite recipes from the book:

Chicken and Bell Pepper Fajitas
2 tbs lime juice
1 tbs reduced sodium-soya sauce
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp ground cumin
pinch red pepper flakes
3/4 pound skinless boneless chiken breast, cut into thin strips
4 tsp canola oil
1 green bell pepper, cut into thin strips
1 red bell pepper, cut into thin strips
1 onion, thinly sliced
4 (6inch) fat-free tortillas, warmed
1/2 cup salsa
1/4 cup fat-free sour cream

Marinade: combine lime juice, soy sauce, chilli powder, cumin and pepper flakes in large zip-close plastic bag; add chicken. Refrigerate, turning bag ocasionally, at least 2 hours or up to overnight. Remove chicken from marinade, discard marinade.

Heat 2 tsp of oil in a large non stick skillet over medium heat. Add bell peppers and onion, cook, stirring until soft, about 5 mins adding 1 or 2 tbsp of water if skillet becomes dry. Transfer to plate, keep warm

Increase heat to medium-high. Add remaing 2 tsp oil in skillet. Add chicken and cook, stirring, until cooked through, about 5 mins.

Place tortillas on work surface; top each with one-fourth of chicken and vegetable. Roll up tortillas to enclose filling. Serve with Salsa and Sour cream.

Per serving (1 Fajita, 2 tbps salsa and 1 tbps sour cream) 6 points..

I use this for vegetable rather than cutting it all…

I also don’t care for salsa and sour cream so I leave that out and I don’t make a wrap.. just eat it desi style like you eat salan with roti
