While the weight of the girl is of major importance during any Rishta process, with some of the heavier girls being looked down upon by some of the families, how important is this issue for men who are overweight. Of course, everyone would want their spouses to have bodies like hollywood actors/actresses with six pack abs, but the reality is quite different. So, where is the line drawn in terms of what is an acceptable weight range?.

I bet most women here will say its a non-issue, whereas in reality I bet none of them in real life would like to marry a mota! I dont see anything wrong with that, but atleast they should just admit it.

What Spock says. At the end of the day people have to be physically attracted to the opposite gender. Just like men have chubby chasers, you have girls with alternative preferences. But yes of course it matters.

I actually prefer chubby men to men who are all muscle or skinny. My husband is not skinny, but he is not chubby either, he is normal weight. I always bug him to gain weight though!

To be honest, when I was looking for someone to marry, the first thing I thought about was a tall, fit, young fellow, lol.
Not going to lie and say it did not matter.
My Fiance is 5'10 and weighs 155 pounds, when we met he was 165, however.

there is some problem in admitting to things which 'seem' politically incorrect but are there nonetheless..Mota, Kaala,Poor,Old etc........these things DO matter...but not admitted usually..

I think I'd be put off by a guy who has a tondh at that aze of marriz. :D, especially if I'm fit and all. Now of course if it's a lau marriz then who cares...I probably fell in love with the entire package :@:

I'll be honest, fat is unattractive to me, chubby is not. I personally don't see 10-30 pounds extra on a guy as a huge deal (no pun intended). But when I think excessively overweight, I associate it to being unhealthy.
But like the others have said, it's a personal preference.

kevin james type of guys are so cute, personally i prefer to be fit b/c i feel good about myself but if there is a guy that is like he is, adorable, why not and honestly speaking, a person with such a great sense of humor that's successful in life that has a few extra pounds would be a joy to be with probably.
and in real life he does have a hot model gf or wife

^ This. I'm more interested in whether the guy goes to the gym regularly or does other physical activities to stay healthy. My SO is a little chubby....but he goes to the gym and plays basketball with his friends often.
I would not consider someone who's obese. Aside from health concerns, I want my partner to be able to keep up with me and the future kids. :)

It's not right at the top of my list. Some guys are cute even if they are a lil chubby and they look good just like that. Some may be really slim but don't attract you as much. Depends on the guy. Unless someone was like really big I won't cross them off the list.

I like muscular guys... dont care about their weight. Few things on my list were... tall, dark, handsome, and muscular/buffed.
I dont like skinny guys... I feel like they are little boys rather than real men.
I rather be with a chubby guy than a super skinny guy.
My fiance isnt buffed but he is not supper skinny either so its perfect.
hahah my fiance isnt tht tall or buffed but he is handsome and dark so I am happy. Actually he isnt even that dark.. OMG! he is nothing like I had ever imagined my life partner that I had imagined I would be with... But he is caring and loving and nice and just amazing... soo its all good :)
