Weight loss

Hi
I want to loose weigth, become healthier, nice figure and i want a lot of energy.
I am currently at 151 pounds. In 10 weeks i want 20 pounds off my body.

I want tips and advice for the beginning…

Anyone who wants to join me?

lol i cnt strt today on the southbeach diet as i dnt knw wt to eat on it but will strt healthy eatin yh?

so far 4 me brekkie = cuppa tea!

We are not starving. We are just eating healthy i think SB diet is a good and healthy diet.

hey kangan glad to knw u dune well today yaar

my prob is i cnt cut out bread rice n roti

i had tea 4 brekkie ( dnt eat brekkie neway apart frm weekends)

for lunch i bought a brown egg mayo sandwch frm greggs but onli had half ov it the bread didnt taste ryt....n a low cal crisps paket

hm nt sure wt to et 4 dinner yt

O and half hr walk 15mins to wrk n 15mins from wrk

I did a 'lifestyle change' last year (no one 'diets' anymore!) and I can tell you what worked for me.

First of all, I exercised every single day, walking one hour on the treadmill without fail.

Secondly, my diet was the Atkins diet. But after about two months, I began to find it too restrictive. I modified the diet to eliminate all sugary items like cookies, sodas and cakes. I also drastically reduced carbohydrate based foods like pasta, rice and potatoes.

I always started my meal with a soup or salad and then ate whatever was cooked for the family. This way, I automatically ate less than I normally would because my stomach was partially full from the starter.

I am game to join you if you have some challenge or rules you want to provide.

i knw atkins reali wrks but u put on tiwce as mch if u go off trak plus it mkes ur skin go reli bad!!!

i realli need to lose abt 3stones to attain my ideal weight.....i gt 1 yr to do it as im gtin married next yr inshallah

i tried tht few yrs ago n it duz wrk...it givs u a kick strt....but u get bored ov cereals ;(

That’s not good :hmmm: you’re meant to have a heavy breakfast and a very light dinner.

I exercise for 20 minutes daily and I dance for about 30 minutes. I don't have roti at all. I have to have 2 items of fruit daily (even though I hate fruit). So far my weight is all under control but the only problem is that my face has shrunk :(

Im struggling like u...i dont want 2 stop eating roti either and am struggling 2 lose weight...however Im sure we can do it if we all work 2gether..just make a committment 2 urself that u will eat less...so if ur having 2 rotis..start having 1 now....and eat rest of food with a fork...

also ensure u r getting 40 mins exercise everyday...they say 2 actually start losing weight u need 2 work out for 40 mins..

also when u get hungry keep yoghurt or fruit next 2 u so u can snack on it....or drink loadsa water....

im the same...4 breakfast i have tea at work with a few biscuits..which isnt great either! I need 2 get better..

My aim is to lose weight in the next 3 months...i have a wedding 2 attend and want 2 fit back into a nice lengha..which will only look good if i lose about a stone! So heres hoping!!

lol no I haven’t replaced fruit with roti :cb: I just don’t have roti at all instead I just go for vegetables (a stirfry or sthg.) with some Salmon or chicken. I’m sick of eating the same kind of foods though :frowning:

Make some small lifestyle changes, you'll be amazed at the difference they can make!

Walk to the shop/work/school instead of jumping in the car.

Drink a big glass of water before every meal, you won't eat as much because you will feel fuller, and it's a great cleanser too.
