im also trying to lose weight.
eating fruit, salads, fish.chicke and drinking green smoothies daily.lots of water and some whole meal bread or brown rice or 1 sweet potato..
i'll tell you what's really good as a diet filler and esp. if you like veggies!
i do a big bunch of chopped up broccoli, lots of sliced mushrooms, two sliced zucchini's, 1 sliced eggplant, 2 sliced red peppers (and any other veggies you want). i drop them into a big pot with a light drizzle of olive oil, and a couple of shakes of cajun seasoning. then just stir it around till all the colors are nice and BRIGHT (the broccoli is awesome for this) and then take it off the heat. voila! veggies galore, they taste awesome, and they've got a bit of a spicy kick! if you like your veggies softer with no crunch (cos you're a grandma with no teeth :p), then you can keep cooking until the veggies get there. but a bit o' crunch is awesome.
and remember all you protein-heavy dieters- a lean steak is an amazing food to have on a diet, esp. with these veggies and perhaps a side of baked sweet potatoes? sweet potatoes are awesome for you and if you cut them in slices, they're sweet potato fries!! yay!
and the girls who don't eat breakfast but instead drink tea- bad girls! that is a big no-no. don't start your day off with caffeine! trust me, you just have to eat brekkie a couple of times a week and you'll get used to eating in the morning. but you MUST kickstart your metabolism for the day with breakfast- otherwise, its slow and sluggish and goes into survival mode where it starts to hoard your fat instead of burning it. must do a glass of water within 30 minutes of waking up (throw some lemon in there if it'll make you gag otherwise), and then do breakfast. i usually scramble one egg and eat it with the veggie mix described above. if thats too heavy, start with cereal or a piece of fruit, anything but caffeine, to get you going. ooh! you know whats good? and this is all very stream-of-consciousness here so bear with me... a fruit smoothie!! throw a banana, some strawberries, some OJ, into a blender, add ice if you like, and blend. its awesome, refreshing, and fruits! fruits are good!

I dont have a weight loss plan. I am on the SB diet. I eat desi food, but with less oil( 2tbs is allowed in SB), i cant eat roti becoz its not allowed in SB diet, i do eat salan of those vegetables and meats which are allowed in SB diet. I eat 3 meals a day.
I am struggling with exercize but i do walk a lot, i am not so good with water either.
count me in as well gals...i am also starting my diet and workout from today! my goal is 145 pounds..dont know my current weight..didnt weigh for so long:(

me too start Sb diet from Monday and my plan is to lose 15 pounds, bt dont know why i am not sure that will i be successfull in it or not. infact i am little confused in SB diet that what shoud i eat and wht not. in morning i take one bowl of cearel with some amount of milk, then after 30 min a cup of tea. in lunch salad and in dinner normal salan with half rotti. is it ok for me? i also do 30 minuts walk daily.
i just wanna to know that can i take 2 slices of brwon bread with an fried egg (in olive oil) in break fast? can any body healp me to make a proper diet chart for b.fast , lunch & dinner based on our daily desi food. pleaseeeeeeeee

I lost 7 kg in 10 weeks and that includes 3 weeks i didnot do any dieting
i lost 4kg in first 4 weeks
then i stopped dieting and ate the normal food
then got motivated again after 3 weeks rest and lost 3 kg in 3 weeks
