Weight Loss Success Stories

Re: Weight Loss Success Stories

I've lost 4 kgs in last 14 days with below menu:

Breakfast:

1 boiled egg
1 pratha
1 tea (sugar free)

Lunch:

1 boiled egg
1 tea

Dinner at 10 pm:
1.5 Roti
1.5 Salan (whatever cooked)
1 fresh lemon juice afterwards (without sugar)

Water consumption during day: 3 litres every day

Walk: 4.5 km in morning (45 minute) and 4.5 km in evening (45 minutes)

I take approx 1250 calories every day and burn 550 calories by walking. My weight was 97.2 kgs having tummy fat mostly. Today it is 93 kgs. Target is 65 kgs within 5 months. My body requires approx 2500 calories to sustain 97.2 kgs weight.

Register yourself at www.lifemojo.com the site calculates everything automatically (including calories consumed. it has whole food database). best weight loss management tool.

on that site it says there r 98 calories in one cup of tea :bummer: and i take 4-5 cups per day plus one cup of coffee. seems like i have to cut down on tea, which is very hard

^it's the whole milk used in desi tea that's the fattening part and the sugar

i usually use the tiny tubs of half and half which are only i think bout 25 calories and use splenda as sweetener

Re: Weight Loss Success Stories

@ gshaheen

Yes, u should take no more than 2 cups of tea in a day. first get your body analysis done on this site. get BMR and body fat data. the site will then advise you number of calories to take and amount of walk, running or cycling to be done in a certain period of time to achieve your target. It makes charts....

I do not plan the diet. I do it as it comes and then enter each time.....

Re: Weight Loss Success Stories

i take 1/3 tsp of sugar in one cup and also its 1/3 cup of milk in one cup. i cant go to 2 cups right away, i think what i will do is insteadof having full cup everytime i will take half cup.
i am also thinking to minus roti/rice from dinner as well , will only take twice per week. thats my plan let see, i love rice.ohhhhhhhhhhhhh its so hard to go on diet.

Re: Weight Loss Success Stories

I used to have KFC, McDonald every day.....and when abroad BK Whopper and Xtra Long Chicken with cheese (my favorite) three times daily.....I was 68 kgs in 2003 and 97 kgs by 2007...

Once you are on strict diet for 2 weeks, your body automatically accepts it....becomes very easy to maintain routine....

did you have enough energy to walk though, i mean lunch with just egg and tea seems hard to do…did you have a snack between lunch and dinner?

Re: Weight Loss Success Stories

I get enough energy for morning walk as my breakfast is about 500 calories (8:30 am)....then I start walk around 10:30 am.....(4.5 km for 45 min burns 250 calories)....then Lunch is 180 calories. Evening walk is at 4:30 pm (again burns 250 calories).

Once you maintain food intake and exercise....your body tells when to stop exercise precisely.... I can feel the calories taken have finished......and the calculation comes out exactly as generated by Life Mojo...

^thanks, i think the toughest time for me is between lunch and dinner, that chai time that desis usually have in between lunch and dinner is hardest to quit

i get cravings for chocolate, that’s my big humongous weakness, stay away chocolate :hinna:

u need strong motivation to loose weight…

he lost 30 kgs in 8 months with cycling…

Re: Weight Loss Success Stories

^what do you do between lunch and dinner to keep away from the kitchen?

see i'm not overweight but i want to reach my ideal weight which would put me at a size 6 right now i'm a size 10 in US clothes

people who are ideally thin are so much more confident about life, i want that confidence which i totally lack. wow but congratulations to you for losing that much weight in two weeks, i hope i'm successful too

top 10 low cal foods that fill you up and fight hunger

Re: Weight Loss Success Stories

Hi guys just thought i'd add my two cents...

Some great success stories here and well done to all those who have the will power to do something about the extra weight thats nagging them.

Alot of you want to lose weight but still eat salan/roti/parathey. If your somebody who can eat what you want and work out and will lose weight than fine but for those with strong weight lose problems you will never shed a pound eating that junk nor is it healthy either hving currys everyday!

When I met my fiance I ended up going from a 50kg to a 75kg (I'm 5ft4). I guess I was happy... lol

Anyway the best diet I have found is the tuna diet if you guys enjoy fish. It gives me all my proteins but with such a low calorie intake.

Breakfast:
1 boiled egg
or
small boil of healthy bran ceriel with skimmed milk
or
an apple and a banana

Lunch:
Tin of tuna with a teaspoon of full fat mayo (yummy) mixed in with lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes etc and a large glass of water

Dinner:
Steamed fish/chicken with boiled veg and one small steamed baby potatoe

If I miss apna food I'll add spices onto my food to give it some hotness lol.

Anyway Ive lost 10kg in two months on this diet. If I get hungry in between I have a snakajacks pack but ive tried to completely illuminate my carbs and currys.

So currently 70kg and not stopping till I hit 60kg :D

Re: Weight Loss Success Stories

^i love seafood especially fish, thanks, i'll try that diet too

i guess no curry and roti for me :(

Re: Weight Loss Success Stories

Fish diet is good one if u can't exercise much....light food...

For people who workout well, anything can be taken with daily review of calories in / calories out....

Re: Weight Loss Success Stories

^answer my question please about what you do between lunch and dinner to avoid the kitchen

Re: Weight Loss Success Stories

I usually have snack a jacks rice cakes- some are really awesome like the caramel or salt and vinegar ones.

Watermelon is amazing for filling you up and healthy as well if not try some fruits you like maybe grapes?

Re: Weight Loss Success Stories

I take one or two Chinese pears (soft ones)....very good for flushing....natural sugar.

Remember one thing. if you loose weight fast with crash diet like 300~500 a day and exercise a lot, the weight will come back quickly..... it is risky for health. Eat well and do exercise...

fruit.....duh i totally forgot how filling that can be. thanks you two :)
