Weight loss: personal testimonial

OK folks, 2 months ago, I set a goal to lose 10 lbs in 2 months. I think that was a pretty reasonable goal, and yes I’ve achieved it.

I didn’t do anything drastic. Cut out junk eating habits, no late night snacks, controlled portions of healthy foods, and moderate exercise in my Wii Fit.

That’s it.

I think we make a really big deal trying to find some magic but the truth is having a doable plan and sticking to it!

Re: Weight loss: personal testimonial

good job! that's motivating

Re: Weight loss: personal testimonial

I just started my Wii Fit again today. What sorts of stuff did you do?

I think I eat pretty healthy. No large quantities and barely any junkfood, besides the occasional cookie/slice of cake/scoop of ice cream, but rarely more than once a day, if even that. But my weight is stuck between 118-120. And I really want to drop about 10lbs (less important) and lose inches in the middle (more important).

I’m so happy for you! :hula:

Re: Weight loss: personal testimonial

It’s tough when you’re on those fertility meds, especially cuz it’s not fat, it’s bloating. That weight didn’t drop until I was dealing with morning sickness ( :clown: ). But then it came back when nursing.

Re: Weight loss: personal testimonial

Seriously it is so frustrating…either i get AF or get preggo…kuch to ho…HPT is negative so now waiting for AF so that bloating gets better and i shed these extra pounds that i have gained!

Re: Weight loss: personal testimonial

^ Just try your best to stay active (but no need to overdo it). There's not a ton you can do about the weight gain with these meds. So try not to beat yourself up about it.

Re: Weight loss: personal testimonial

But what i have read is that metformin helps in losing weight…its almost everywhere on the internet! why is it not helping me with it? :hinna:

Re: Weight loss: personal testimonial

It helps regulate metabolism for people who are overweight. I'm not sure what your specific situation is, but it's fairly typical for these types of meds to cause bloating, and that is a separate issue. Hope it works out for you.

Re: Weight loss: personal testimonial

 thanks.

I like the running, the balance activities and core strengtheing exercises you do with the help of the stool/step thingie.

Re: Weight loss: personal testimonial

Wow

Re: Weight loss: personal testimonial

i have been thinking for a month to start walking lekin .. :bummer: i dont know y am i lazy :sigh:

Re: Weight loss: personal testimonial

Weight loss is easily achievable only if you could get control on late night snacks :bummer:

Re: Weight loss: personal testimonial

Good Job, Niksik. I'm thinking of getting a Wii Fit too, but I'm not sure how easy it is to work the machine, and also what DVD's do u need for that?
Can you give me some details, please?

Re: Weight loss: personal testimonial

congratulations well done…:aisha:

Re: Weight loss: personal testimonial

You do realize 5-10lbs in a short span of time is usually water weight... good start though!
