I skipper breakfast again today. For lunch I had 1 cup karhai goat with 2 slices of 40 calorie bread. I plan on having salad for dinner but my plans haven’t really been working out lately.
Ex: I did well on all these days but at the end of the day end up having–
Sat- a bag of cheeto fries, and a pack of m&ms
Sun- a pack of m&ms
Mon- a king cone
Arghhhhh!!! I need to stop eating junk food.
On a positive note, I have been to bikrma yoga for 6 days in a row and tomorrow would make it an entire week (I have never done an entire week before!).
It’s those pesky holidays that get me every time!! Memorial day weekend I went to two restaurants and just got yummy appetizers thinking it’s a small size so it wouldn’t be so bad. I gained a pound:grumpy:. It’s seriously a roller coaster ride. It’s like I can’t enjoy life in terms of food if i’m trying to watch my weight.

How's the experience with bikram yoga? Does it help with weight loss? I'm also planning to start, please share your experience.

I absolutely love it. It is tough and really kicks my butt daily. I bought a groupon for it and it is well worth it. My mom had lost 6-7 lbs in a month when she did it but she had not changed anything else and was eating anything she liked.
I just started but I haven't seen a drastic weight change... But I do feel toned so I could be building muscles... Sme people say that it burns 400-900 calories but I think it can not be more than regular yoga, which is about 300 calories for me. I do feel better after each session and have improved a lot in my flexibility and balance.
I do recommend it but only if you can be committed to it. I had bought a groupon in the past but only went to 2 classes in a month. This time I have gone 7 days in a row and feel accomplished. But it truly requires a lot of dedication. The sessions are 90 mins but u have to get the 15 mins early and when u include driving and bathing time, it takes close to 3 hours everyday.
It is not for everyone but it is improving my life overall.. I am calmer, relaxed, happier, and truly feel great. Hohhot and my belly pooch has completely disappeared.
Ok. So yesterday i messed up big time b/c I ended up having a biggg burger with fries for dinner, followed by ice cream and a huge bag of popped corn! I ate more than 1600 calories but I an gladi hadn't gone crazy with lunch because that would have been a disaster :'(
today, I decided to start the 5k in 30 days challenge. I walked/jogged 1.75 miles in 30 minutes. Then I did bikram yoga, followed by a body wrap, massage, and facial. It was a great day!!!
I had goat curry with two slices of bread for lunch and will have the same for dinner. I snacked on a mango. :) I will have to control myself at dinner time for me to loose weight.

Being committed to it is the hardest part because i have a toddler and taking out 3 hours for myself after a full time job is very hard! But i've heard so many positive things about it which makes me want to try it out I sooo want my belly pooch gone toooo :(
Ohhh this just might work since Ethan is watching and keeping track of our progress(or backsliding..ouch). I shall take the challenge bro Hunt:superman:. You better not bail out on us though
Drink 2 liters of water fill up on fruit so you don’t eat a lot of the rich food you make for the guests and ask them to take a bit home with them as doggy bags so only a bit is left for your husband and kids. We’ll be praying that you stick to your diet, just keep reminding yourself how confident and wonderful you’ll feel when you get to your goal weight. You’re doing it for yourself and nobody else.
btw, exercise is absolutely necessary because even if I was watching what I was eating before memorial day weekend, I didn’t exercise so the weight stayed the same. Start with speed walking for an hour…simple stuff like that. I don’t have my treadmill anymore hence the weight gain. I was so dependent on it whenever I gained a pound or two.

Try a class or two… then decide if it is for you. Sometimes they have a deal for new students, which is way cheaper than the regular cost… just ask them. Most studio owners are very nice and want you there so they are willing to work with u on giving you a good deal. My mom had purchased a month unlimited but only went 5 times, so they let her have a second month for free.
A lot of the postures require you to suck in ur stomach or use ur core strength, so I think it will help with the pooch :)
Good Luck! Let me know how it goes, if you try it.
So Yesterday I did awesome! I had soup for lunch and tandoori chicken for dinner (No bread, rice, etc!)
Today, I had tandoori chicken for lunch and am planning on having daal for dinner with 2 slices of 40 calorie bread. However, right now I just want to eat a mango or something!!! I am not hungry but want to munch on something :'(
are you able to sleep properly with such a light dinner ?
I personally slept like a baby yesterday night. If I am going to eat something heavy(I pray not), I would eat it early in the evening. I don't think sleeping well has to do with light or heavy dinners. One shouldn't eat heavy dinners anyways because at night we have less activity and that heavy food would just sit there...gross.
Whatever issues I was dealing with that caused sleepless nights are now dealt with(GS helped loads) so I am home free. Not being able to sleep is just the minds way of saying that we have unresolved issues that are a pain and keep knocking at our subconscious until we actually solve them. It has nothing to do with heavy dinners.
stock up on your favorite fruit so if you're craving sweets, don't buy them, out of site out of mind, replace them with fruits that you like.
Do you have to have the junk in the kitchen? If I have any sign of junk anywhere near me, I would stuff my face so I don't buy it at all.
I weighed in at 127.8 this morning.
for lunch yesterday i ate baba ganoush and pita bread with a side of salad for dinner that's what i'm thinking has the most calories. I did dance(not sure how many calories) and 30 minutes of elliptical-200 calories lost.
I usually don't have junk food at home but after dinner, hubby suggests that we go get ice cream almost daily and I give into my cravings. Also, we get popcorn and soda at the movies every saturday :'(
Yesterday, we went to the beach so we ad bought chips for the kids. I stuffed my face this morning with the bag of chips that the nieces and nephews left unopened :(

double up on exercise on Saturdays and eat light meals with mostly veges and fruits for most of the day til you get to the movies?
I know I would lose to temptation too if I was around the same stuff.....Just think how awesome you would look and feel at 135 pounds whenever you reach for the oily, buttery, calorie filled popcorn or that ice cream that you would gain a couple pounds easy if you indulged on too much of it. 100 calorie frozen yogurt instead of ice cream? Or eat no butter popcorn that's flavored with other spices or powders instead of the butter so the taste would be enhanced without all the junk?
Just think of all the hard work and pain it took to bring the weight down to 139. Don't know what else to tell you.
