weight and beauty

My husband is always telling me if I lose weight I’d look prettier? I’ve been looking at before and after pics of people and they all do look bettter after losing weight? Why?
How can it make my face look better if I go from a uk size16 to size 8?

It’s all about losing your double chin, isn’t it? :vivo:

Re: weight and beauty

Losing the weight would make your facial features more prominent I guess. Correct me if I'm wrong the uk size16 doesn't seem like a healthy weight(google), so how about you lose a few pounds to get healthier.

Re: weight and beauty

I did lose 20lb last year but put it back on again. It's easy to lose but hard to keep it off.

Re: weight and beauty

Healthiful is more Beautiful

:bummer: I mean

Healthier is more Beautier

:emmy:

Whatever … but the sense of beauty is part of our fitrat … and even Allah (SWT) refers to “form” Ashraf-al-Makhluqaat … I feel “health” is “beautiful” … because “health” means we take care of what has been given to us - i.e. the body … Even if we take care of plants or inanimate things like cars … they flourish and look more beautiful.

Re: weight and beauty

Do you have some sort of workout routine right now? A healthy died controlled diet might be the dominant factor in weight loss but working out is what motivates you to stick to your diet.

Or you fail to stick to your diet because your husband and kids stick to the old diet and they tempt you into relapsing

Re: weight and beauty

nah…I just love eating when not feeling happy so I eat and eat and eat. :teary2:

Re: weight and beauty

That’s not right, but you already no that :smack:. How about substituting eating with doing push ups  or burpees or squats or a pull ups or you could just eat. Just saying…

Re: weight and beauty

i'll be honest...yes me as a size 8 person would probably look much prettier/younger/hotter than me size 16. Thats just the way it works, how you carry yourself and your confidence to wear nicer stuff when your skinnier, you obviously rock it more....
but then again, if you love yourself at 16 and are happy at that weight then good on you!!!

Re: weight and beauty

how cleverly your husband diverted your attention from him. he is enjoying his freedom, but he doesnt know here on gs many people aware of his smart move. It is time to increase duties on him. :chai:

Re: weight and beauty

Yeah thats so true...I cant think of any size 16 carrying herself nicely...except the ex miss England but even she'd look more beautiful by losing a size.

Re: weight and beauty

Tell your husband you're big boned. That ought to solve the problem.

Re: weight and beauty

I wasn't always a size 16 you know.

Re: weight and beauty

Bones grow too ;)

Re: weight and beauty

Not necessarily. Kristie Alley turned hotter after gaining weight (and then lost it all after gaining even more :D).

Point is, you dont want to be Roseanne but you dont want to be Olsen twins either.

Re: weight and beauty

Size 8-10 with curves in the right places is yummy x

Re: weight and beauty

maybe it's the attitude and the confidence women get with losing weight.

Re: weight and beauty

Putting on weight makes you look older and then those layers of fat dont make us look pretty in clothes. More over i think being fat affect our demagh more than our overall appearance.

Re: weight and beauty

Sup hareem. Regardless of gender..anyone who is ova weight looks older. SO the key is to be balance. There is female friend of mine who is 33 yrs old..but looks like in her mid 20s. And what does she do?..workout, have control on her diet etc.

Re: weight and beauty

Sup xtron. I have 3 stones to lose and I don’t have any time to work out these days. :teary1:

I went to see a weight counsellor today but unfortunately she was way more obese than me. :teary2:

Re: weight and beauty

my husband tells me that too- really hurts my feelings.. and makes me want to eat MORE!
