quick question......can you buy good ready made bridal wear.....i will be shopping for my walima......
what are the potential shops in the area mentioned?
and worse case scenario if i cant find anything ready made......could i get a tailor made outfit within a few week time span?

yes u can buy ready made lehnga or other clothes( but gharara will take almost 3 weeks in urgent )and they can stitch u in a day or 2 may be will take max a week.Best shops in islamabad and pindi according to variety and prices are at muree road.....Mohsin sons r having lot of pakistani and indian bridals ,beauty.Fashion ka ghar ,rangeenz and many other shops but try to bargain them b,coz we bought gharara from Mohsin Sons in july they told us 80 thousand first but done at 40 thousands at last and the most horrible prices are of khan variety muree road and f-10 markaz

Yes Mohsin Sons is good, but you must be wary of them, they promised a friend of mine a brand new outfit, but instead gave her a display one, which had bits just about coming off :(
Fashion ka ghar is ok I guess!
There is another place, where my bhabi brought hers, will ask her and post here again!

so it sounds like i should be able to find something in mohsin sons or fashion ka ghar.....do they always seem to have nice ready mades available?
how are they priced?
is their service good?

yes they always have nice readymade lenghas and clothes...about price u should bargain with them .they will less the price from almost 40 to 45 percent.but first visit as many shops as possible as everyone is having their own styles and price ranges....as far as service is concerned..u have to be strict with them rite from the beggining and write down all your conditions and dates..as a proof.. :) ....oh and u need to behave in a know it all way..then their service is great..if u look like a lost chicken then definitely they will deal with u in slow manner.... :D

u have to give them a fake date for the dress to be ready ten days before the actual date and be strict with fake date.

mohsin an sons quality is very good but they are not reliable when it comes to time keeping

Mohsin an sons have a website, but it's kinda shabby (google it).....not sure about the other 2 places mentioned
I ordered my wedding outfits from mohsin and sons an was very happy with the result....(will upload it if I have time later on)

I got both my wedding and valima dresses from Mohsin sons in pindi. THey were both for 30,000 each.

My bhabi got her bridal dress made from Fashion ka Ghar for 19,000. They bargained from 40,000 down to 19,000. But this was back in 2002. Nowadays they will just laugh at you if you try and bring the price down.
As for Mohsin and Sons, I think the original shop in Moti Bazaar is really good. They do the best work and aren't quite as pompous as the ones in Murree Road. I found the staff at Murree Road were so rude! and they charge ridiculous prices. Also, they never follow the naap that you give them and the necklines are always very low.
Tbh, if you had more time I would recommend you go to Lahore. My sister's Nikah dress was sewn in 1 day from a Lahore boutique in Liberty Market and it was good, clean work.
