you can get silver sets (but gold plated) from the shops in dupatta gali in liberty (Opposite Khussa Mahal) my friend got her's made on order..a design copied from a gold set in a magazine..it came out really good and cost her 13500rs..

i wore a real gold set on my wedding dt we brouught from dubai , my mum and my khala did not let me buy an artificial set as their like wts d point on spending dt much money on an artificial set u mite as well buy something else . but i guess the price of the artificial set depends on ur choice the more extravagant u wnt it to be the more it will cost i saw ones from 10,000 to 15,000 and some for 5 thousand and even three thousand ones were amazin all in anarkali.
girls i knw it the wedding and stuff bt i dont see y ppl go crazy spending money on stuff they will only wear once. ok anyways for formal suits visit the Ali zari house i gt my lengha and suits from there and they are amazin much better den all dt designer crap of maria b and stuff ( ok sorry dts my opnion )

My wedding set, along with teeka, nath and panjagla cost me 5000 rps in Anarkali and some people couldnt believe it wasnt gold.

Sittin' pretty | annie_and_shan | Flickr - for my friend, her teeka and jhoomar were silver gold plated and hung with rubies to match her necklace and earrings which were gold, and you absolutely cannot tell the difference, two years ago when she got married, or now. and shes worn this set so many times. she was really smart and had a shalwar made with her gharara kameez and this way she’s worn her shaadi suit a lot too.

i saw ira’s jewellery and i think it looked very beautiful and matched perfectly with her dress. I didn’t know it was fake until I saw her post in this thread and the worst part is my set which was bought for $3000 dollars didn’t look half as good as hers.

well it's a really pretty 'jadau' set but it doesn't go with most of my dresses so that really pisses me off. :( I really want to sell it and get smaller sets but I really don't know anybody who will buy something so expensive. I think I'll take it to a jeweller and check what he offers me....

here’s it is…picture quality isn’t so good but you’ll get an idea how it looks in real. I love the earings!!

i think jarau is anything made with pearls, gems, beads, stones etc.... i.e. not just pure gold.

Oh, i thot jarao was the very bhareek type of gold...like that one up there, it looks like a net with rubies in it....so other sets that have stones/beads, what r htey called??..

they're called jarau... cos its all the other stuff set in gold, as opposed to only gold. at least thats my understanding of it.

omg donnt sell it there is so many suits u cn wear wid dt . its nt even dt big i dont mean dt in a rude way u cn easily wear it to a function or wedding . u cud also just wear earrings as big earrings r in fashion nowadays.
i wud say a big NO NO for selling it come on !
