Wedding services in Faislabad??

Hiya, How are you all? I’m fairly new to this site.. and I came across this section, and it sprung up various curious questions that I desperately need answering…

Inshallah, I will be getting married in the next two years. I’m from England, and I will be getting married back home in Pakistan, Faislabad. Now, the thing is, I rarely go back home, as I’m at uni and very busy, so I’m not too sure how everything works in Pak… Urm, Where is the best place to get bridal wear for a girl? I’ve been told by my friends that Lahore is shopping Galore…? Where in Lahore is the best for bridal shopping? I really don’t know my way around Pakistan. I’ve heard that “Anarkali” and “Liberties” is good? It’s just a case of me finding them I guess! But yeah, I will be getting my make-up done in Faislabad.. Do any of you know of any good bridal make-up artists in Faislabad? I’m not too bothered at the price, but I don’t want some budget make-up artist, because I want the outcome to look gorgeously “WOAH”!, without the whole “atta” look… My brother recently got married in January, and his wife got ready at some parlour in Faislabad, and I was actually quite surprised at how well they did her eye-makeup, it looked *very *professional. However, the only downfall was the foundation, they ended putting on so much that the poor girl looked like a china doll. I really wanna avoid the whole china look, it’s so not appealing. :\

Okay so, to my next question… Do you guys know of any good wedding halls/venues in Faislabad? I’ve heard Serena Hotels is good? But they must cost mega bucks. Lol. Oh, and it would be ideal if the hall/venue had some sort of gorgeous garden(s) for photography purposes…

One last question, I need a FANTASTIC photographer. I don’t care where he’s from in Pakistan, as long as I can hire him for the few days. I need someone that will capture all the memories in crystal clear picture’s, I want it too look *very *professionl…

Hmm, I think that’s about it… Yes, I know Im fussy, but hey you only get married once! :slight_smile:

Hmmm For shopping, i forgot the name of the place its something like bano market or bano bazaar and it could be something totally diff so dont quote me on that :p

For make up the best one i foudn in fsd was Dulhan (I think). The owner got her license from london or something so shes pretty good and does a pretty good job but when i got it done, it was for someone elses wedding and I pretty much told her what to do and what colors to use and i even made her use my makeup so i dont know, it was more me than her. But I did see pics of other dulhans on her wall and they looked pretty good, so give it a shot.

Dulhan? Ah ok, see the thing is, I want someone to do a pefect job without me kinda having to talk her through the whole make-up set up, step by step. It would be nice if I showed her a picture, a glimpse of my outfit/jewellery and she got on with it. Hmm, I have a feeling it's not gonna be an easy thing...

Urm, Sorry, is Bano Market in Faislabad.... right? I was also curious about some bridal shops/markets on Lahore, as I will be doing majority of my shopping there...

Oh yeah, anyone know of some venues in Faislabad, then?

Serena in Faisalabad is really nice, it has that warm cozy feel to it, unlike PC.

It has a very pakistanish feel to it…Ooo and their buffets are amazing!

And that Dulhan lady is really good, i am just very picky :smiley:

And like i said in that other thread, its better to just go to lahore and do the shopping, its not that far away and much better for certain things!

Whats PC? Is that some other venue/hall in Faislabad?

Would you say that "Dulhan" parlours, are the best in Faislabad? Because I am VERY picky, I have quite high standards... :D

But yeah, I'm definetly gonna do all my shopping in Lahore...

You can go to someone in lahore for your make up too..as long as you have a nice reliable car with very air c in it.

hmmm they are best as far as i know but then agai thats the only place i have been to other than this other place on a corner of a street run by women that look like men :D

Hmm, I don't think it would be a wise idea for me to get my bridal make-up done in Lahore, it's a bit of a distance. From what I remember isn't it like 2 hrs drive? Imagine me running lateand the guests turning up...."Oh, why's the bride taking so long..." .. "Oh, Yeah, she's in Lahore getting her makeup done.." LOL!

I think I'll have to stick with a bridal parlour in Faislabad. It's the safest option, as much as I would LOVE to have it done in Lahore, it'll just be too *much *hassle....

PC = pearl continental or someting like that but if you wnt it in lahore theres alot of threads already and theres alot of lahoris here too.

Oh hey, sorry about the late reply, I've been a bit pre-occupied with university work load. Thanks barfee, I've made a note of that link, and I will get in touch with someone from that link.

I was just wondering, once you have found the desired wedding hall, do they provide weddings decors and so on? Or would you have to find that stuff yourself? Argh, I've got so many worries. I would so much rather getting married in the UK, atleast I know what facilities are available and so on.. this is so hard... Hmpf! =(

Oh man, do they have wedding planners in Pakistan? That would make life so much more easier! ^_^

The best thing will be talk to a local over there and they will give you all the info.

As far as I know they decorate the place for you, depends on how much you are willing to invest.

as the arrangements in the hotels u will not be needing any catering services.

faislabad has one of the pakistan's best catering services providers :)
