But i just asked my mother and she said that the woman who sits in mayyoun for 7 days her first wish is granted without a doubt - these days we just make the bride sit only a day or two but its necessary to make her sit for 7 days complete and perhaps thats why they also say that the bride sitting in mayyoun should not me left alone since the negative energy or jinns gets attracted to her
now i am all confused.

I guess this whole tradition has a few basic reasos

1. if the bride looks grugy for a fw days before weddig the on wedding day she would look and feel more pretty.

2. she cant go out ad cant be alone? i think thats so she does not elope
