I am in dire need of wedding outfits, and i have about 4 months to find them too. Lenga’s arent in anymore so i was thinking fishtail and a sharara (sp) type thing. Need colour combinations, materials and embroidary info…whats in?
oh and has anybody ever ordered asain outfits off the net? A list of websites would be much appreciated, especially if they are in the UK.

are you getting married or looking for an outfit to wear at someone's wedding?
if you are getting married, Congratz, n i think the best bet would be a trip to Pakistan and for that you can go for eitehr straight lehngas or gharara, but if you have opted for farshi gharara, remember you won't be able to wear it again unless and until you would have someone holding your gharara and providing you enough space to walk through..so go for something that you will wear again at close cousins' weddings or just other events.
i think the dresses online are wicked expensive and also you won't be very sure of the fabric, color in real, or fittting etc. Personally, I won't put myself in a trouble of buying a gorgeous outfit online and if you really like a design online, you can always print it out and get it made by some tailors in Pakistan.. that would work with a low price as well as just the way you will need it, custome made only for you :-)

oh i just wanted to add that dun go for any light color combinations for your wedding like gold, peach or so, because the pics or movie will come horrible with so much movie light n camera flashes, at the end that would make you look either too whitey or probably pale! go for a dark color lehnga n dark makeup, it might look too much in your own room but i m pretty sure the pics will come out wonderful. :-)

The clothes are for a family wedding, thankfully not mine.
i have someone who is going to pak so i could get clothes from there, although im not sure how much i trust them if you get what i mean.
trouble is i dont really know what colours would suit me.

As for clothes I do not like ordering online. Thankfully I have realtives in Pakistan who I can give colour and design ideas too and they get the job done. My cousin goes back very now and then and the place she gets her stuff made from, she now just emails them pictures and measurements and a check and they make her stuff and mail her the clothes all the way from Pakistan. I will soon start doing that too.

do you trust anyone in Pakistan who can get exactly what you like, if not, get your design, and the material of the fabric as well as the fitting and give it to someone who is going to pakistan.. you can always bribe them with some thing so they will actually put osme time and effort to get what you want! i m also very picky for clothes and i dun even let my hubby chose my clothes except the nikkah outfit taht i just couldn't say a single word because i wasn't in mood of shopping anyway :-D
Just try different colors that you already have n make sure if the light color looks good on you or dark and then you can go with those lines, the stress would be reduced to 50% if you decided that you want light or dark n then search online for different combinations according to that!
www.hinab.com has alsmot all color combinations because i feel like she is stealing ideas from otehr desginers so you can find lots of combos to find exactly what you want!

as for those lambs, well what i can say, i have that effect on animals, pity as i thought my Turkish was going quite well.
i dont have any cousins in pak who know what i like. and to be honest im nto sure if i trust them.

missy, thats a nice choice, i have this feeling that you want to go for a bright color combination.. when iw as in pakistan in january, the very much popular was orange n magenta.. n dark shades of purple n pink.. and trust me there were excellent outfits in liberty, Pace, n fortress in lahore for these combinations... if someone is going to lahore, ask them to check the shops there and give this design... i m sure they will get the same thing from there..if nothing works, ask them to get the fabric from Anarkali or so n get it stictched... just tell them that someone else has asked for this and tehy will kill you if you chose to deviate from the design..hehehe inshallah you will get what you want!

well i like bright colours, and i think they suit me, i already have a pink and orange suit, but its not weddingy, il show you a picture. I want a nice green and a white/gold peach combination. Don’t know if my ppl in pak can get to Lahore tho, maybe Pindi.

I really like the colour combination in the first one too, I swear i'v seen a sari around here on GS with the same colour combination, I can't seem to find it. :(
I wouldnt have it as a trouser suit though, I think shalwar kameez looks so much better these days.
