i have a question..do you HAVE to do it on the first night as a married couple? the girl/guy should get to know eachother for a while and then get married, i mean what if theres no attraction at all? (physical, mental, sexual etc)
Absolutely not. It's a ridiculous expectation, and many people no longer follow it. For girls in particular, but guys too, emotional intimacy is necessary for physical attraction.
yeah i think its so weird because theres like a certain pressure from other people. I sort of noticed this when i was in pakistan and my cousin had gotten married. Her mother in law asked her the morning after the baraat if she had done IT. i dont understand why she would ask that, i mean lady..ur son is married to the girl..they'll do it whenever they want..they dont need to TELL you.
On the other hand, one of my relatives got pregnant on the wedding night (or very soon after) and her MIL yelled at the guy saying it was too soon and asking him why he didn't wear a condom etc etc!
People need to realize what is and isn't appropriate for them to discuss and expect of the couple, and how and when to broach the topic.
dats jst so bad...i mean if my mother in law asks me sumthng like dat i wuld hve teachd her a gud lesson regardless how wrong it is!!

yup me and atif were already emotionally and mentally close to each other anyway before we gotmarried…so it felt right and wonderful to be finally be together…
he was suuuuch a sweet heart…usually grooms help out their newly weded wives to take off their jewellery and a zillion hair pins in their hair but my man was soooo shy he turned around while i took my chooriyan off and left the room so i could get comfortable…hehe
i called him back in it was sooooooooo weird being in a room with a MAN…but he was my best friend too so i was v v v comfortable…then he took me to another room and he had candles lit everyyyywhere andf there he presented me with a diamond ring…i was totally gob smacked…it was sooooo romantic…the atmosphere, him well and the ring hihi…

I'm surprised things like this still go on, how could anyone feel comfortable asking ther daughter-in-law a question like that.
