I have been reading various posts about makeup artists in pakistan and am freaking out a bit. From what I hear they are quite rubbish. I am getting married in April next year, iA in Mirpur. When my brother in law got married a couple of years ago the makeup artist messed up his wifes makeup and her sister had to sort it out in the end! So that was just such a waste, she was lucky that her sister was a bit of an expert herself!
So, I am thinking maybe I should do my makeup myself? I’m not an expert but I have plenty of time to learn! What do you think?
i did my own nikkah makeup for the same reasons. my nikkah was pretty big event too so not like just a few people at home.
spent my time getting everything sorted - right primer, right foundation, right power, right false lashes. then decided the kind of look i wanted and practiced til it was good.
m'A i think it came out pretty good; coordinated with my whole look and since i knew how to best enhance my features, i still looked like myself.
it saved me a lot of stress as i wasn't sitting in some parlour not knowing what i was going to end up looking like. i did have my hair done in a salon first though and an experienced aunty pinned my duputta for me afterward.
