I went to this one wedding in Santa Barbara and it was the most gorgeous venue I have ever been to! There was a beach on one side and mountains on the other! I can't remember the name! :(

You should go for an outdoor wedding! California is the best place to have outdoor weddings! And the scenery there makes for amazing backdrops!

Jewellers in Southern California

Hiii girls. I dont know if this thread should be in this section or in bazaar talk....

anyways, I know some of you are from california and others might know friends and family here. I just wanted to know of some good jewellers for bridal sets since going to pakistan may not be an option. i know pioneer blvd is filled with stores, but which ones are the best and where do they have the best deals? i'm looking for some heavy sets as well as churiyan sets.

if any of u know of any and have purchased some sets from them, please post those too!

So im getting married in the San Fransisco Bay Area in July 2011. Will have both my nikah and walima here. Nikah ceremony in a mosque (in-laws prefference) and 2 days later my walima @ Chandni Banquet hall. I'm using Samson for my photography and AACreations for my video, b/c I prefer females to do so. I need to find 2 things. A good and affordable decorator who also does good lighting and A VERY GOOD makeup artist. I'm looking at farhana baig and Arsh from newlook. Anyone have any comments or suggestions. Please help! I'm doing all of this myself

I know this is a very old thread but it has a good (kind of) comprehensive list of vendors for weddings in southern CA so I figured I'd just ask on this thread. Anyone know of any imams that they would recommend in the LA/OC area? I'm looking for someone that's fairly moderate and won't say anything too crazy / offend my nonmuslim friends attending the wedding. No one preachy. Unfortunately, I haven't been a part of the masjid community for quite some time due to school/work outside of the area so I'm kind of at a loss. Everyone used to use the one Saadullah Khan from Irvine but well...that obviously isn't an option.
