Arghhhh Im SOOOO glad all u guys are having same issues as me!
Ive tried so much and still not losing weight its because i lack willpower and discipline like lets take last night..i walked to work for an hour and then went to the gym during my lunch for an hour so i felt really healthy etc etc then my dad bought takeaway at night..:( And I jus had to indulge now i feel so lazy and fat!!..It doesnt help when all my friends are stick thin and love munchin junk food and the family is the same! :(
But Insh'Allah ill get ther b4 my wedding in december :)

Aerobics, cardio workout like cycling, jogging, jumping (it's the hardest)
Join a gym n if ur'e lucky to have a motivated and passionate instructor, nothing beats it...i speak for myself...i could never imagine to hit the gym right after work, but just thinking of how passionate my instructor is about the class gives me all the energy to make it everyday! Yes, it makes that big a difference!
Avoid junk( sadly chocolates fall into the category!)
They say whatever tastes sweet to the lip, stays at the hip!
Have 5-6 small meals throughout the day.

your lucky...u still got 6 months to lose weight! I have 44 days or so...argh!!!
I kwn wt u mean though....im lahori..and we eat a lot....and so even if i promise myself nt 2 eat...i still do...its nt gd!

I'm from the UK.. u? guess wot i had keema with a fork 4 lunch lol so funny wen i read ur comment tabu...add salad to it, tastes lovely...but im annoyed cos my mums making pizza for dinner- how the hell am i meant to resist that..so my diet is on hold til 2mor lol i have to say cut down on roti- i totally dont eat it, its better to have a slice of bread.
cambridge diet- look it up on the net, u hv to go to ur docs & see if ur allowed to go on the diet cos it is pretty hard...but it gvs results...if not weightwatchers is good too- but slower results
personally i think that all the girls getting married shud b enjoying their last month of not being married & how the hell can we do that without food...life is so dull without it lol so girls lets no b to hard on ourselves, i mean we've got a guy thats all that matters! x

I know its so hard 2 resist when ur mum makes gd food....ive only had soup since lunch and just having a fruit salad nw..can still feel my belly! lol

Here's what I do.
I'm getting married in Jan '09. I live in the US and am going to pak in november.
I drink room temp lemon water each morning.
Go to the gym 4 times a week.
- aerobics
- kick boxing
- muscle toning etc
- have a good, hearty breakfast
- Have replaced lunch with a bowl if cereal. With some kinda fruit in it. Usually bananas.
- I have dinner BEFORE 8pm. Since I dont sleep before 12:30-1:00AM
For dinner I have anything I want or whatever's cooked. BUT I have half of what I would eat. Portion control!
EAT EAT EAT. Just half of what you would normally eat with my 4 days of gym.
I'm all ripped and cut right now and cant wait to get to pak!

tabu...im well proud of u, keep it up! im from london...& i no wot u mean mashallah im really happy too & cant wait to get married so i just eat & eat... i cant wait to b married & go to loads of restaurants! but its true this tm wont cum back so might aswell try to get fit sigh im dreading my fotos cos my face luks so fat in them so im thinking of sticking up one of my horrendous pics on my bedroom wall, that should def motivate me lol x

I'll tell you one VERY effective way- every morning before eating or drinking anything, take one glass of WARM water, add honey and lemon to it and then drink it. It works 100 percent. If you want, you can do it twice a day also.

See, I'm such a slacker and I got my mom to hit the gym with me....ok ok fine..i'll admit it... it was actually SHE who got me to hit the gym with her. Now I'm so pumped, I cant get enough...
The best thing is to get a partner. Tell your partner to kick u in the ass and motivate you no matter what. They wont lose sight of the final goal even if u do once you see a piece of fried chicken:(

hey tabu b, :-) the quickest way to lose weight is drink warm water with lemon, and then lunchtime eat salad and at dinner time eat salad with boiled chicken. and avoid other stuff.

Drink 4 liters of water everyday - it will be little uncomfortable at first but the best way is to take 500ml water bottle and count the number of times you drink it . Have atleast one bottle before breakfast preferable warm.
Eat nothing sweet no cookies , no chocolates, no smoothies. You can eat yoplait yoghurt if u crave something sweet . Also fruits help
Don't feel too starved at anypoint so keep eating small meals
Make healthy choices when eating out, for fast food eateries like au bon pain and subway are good .
Eat good protiens like egg whites, fish and tofu
If you cant resist desi food , try cooking your own food with low oil e.g dal with roasted tadka , steamed and spiced veggies , oven baked chicken as opposed to salans.
*Calorie count your food and try to stick to 1000 -1500 cals / day

In fruits choose grapes , watermelon , oranged as opposed to mangoes and banana
Its also important ot be strong and toned esp at problem areas like abdomen and arms so** working out is a must
**If you hate the gym try
running out in the open
cycling
tennis
swimming
Doing abs at home

Join weight watchers (online if you can't go to meetings) and it shall help you a lot. I had plateaued my weight and then lost 6 and a half lbs the first week it self. They have a buff brides section too where you should get advice. Its not that expensive and they are in the UK too.
everything mentioned above probably works, but really depends on ur body and how ur body loses weight...
for me the only thing that will work is calorie counting.....every single thing i eat, i've been watching coz my wedding's in august, IA.....i lose a steady few pounds each week and not eating after 7 pm.....thats the only thing that works for me....
