Is there a thread that has a complete listing of banquet facilities in the Mississauga/Toronto area?
It would be great if the thread had some reviews as well.

Re: Banquet Facilities
No, I think u’d just have to search the different threads ![]()
I know of Sangan, Woodbine, Payal.. and Sangam ![]()
Sangam was pretty good I think. I thought the food was pretty good (then again I only had the food once during valima, but the appetizers from the other days wre really good). Inside, its very nice.. spacious. And the price was very good :k:
Re: Banquet Facilities
Thanks Sara.
I've got those on my list already and have been to three of the four.
I was hoping to do something a little bit different than the traditional desi places....
Re: Banquet Facilities
Elite is one ... I have never been there ... heard good things about it. It's an Afghani owned hall, apparently good decor/good food ... anybody been there?
Red Rose and Pearson are a couple of the newer ones with different menus.
There is also The Old Mill. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous place. They do halal food too, but they are in Etobicoke. I personally was quite impressed with this place. It's extremely unique.
Re: Banquet Facilities
i went to a wedding in Le Jardin, it was gorgeous. There was plenty of room, really clean, and classy, the food was awesome, and one thing that i absolutely loved was that upstairs they have beautiful rooms (i think there are two) for the bride and groom to get ready in. In the summer they have an outside garden thats lovely too.
I found a website for it http://www.lejardin.net/social.php?loc=2&style=social
Re: Banquet Facilities
The Old Mill is definitely beautiful. Very unique in it's setting etc.
I am almost 98% sure that they are booked for the date that I want. They book years in advance for peak wedding season.
I think my friend got married at Le Jardin and yes, it was qutie nice. I'll have to check them out for dates.
and I've never heard of Pearson.......
Re: Banquet Facilities
I just called Red Rose and they are booked until October 2007 ![]()
Pearson same thing … they only have Sundays available until September 2007. ![]()
Re: Banquet Facilities

Re: Banquet Facilities
That's the name...Princess Banquet Hall....I couldn't remember that name. Thanks Afshi.
I need to look that one up. I was invited there once but didn't go. Heard it was nice.
I simply will not do anything at Bella Gardens.
But I am looking into the possibility of a marquis at a Golf Club.
Re: Banquet Facilities
Mehnaz.....tell me I'm not competing with you here.....

Re: Banquet Facilities
I have a contact at Verdi.....problem is being able to provide outside catering....
Bombay Palace will have to be considered once all others have been exhausted.
Re: Banquet Facilities
these aren’t in mississauge, but its not a huge deal, is it? people can drive anywhere for one day…
the venetian http://www.thevenetian.ca/home.html
the paramount http://www.bypeterandpauls.com/
spirale http://www.spirale.net/
if you’re looking for outdoor venues, theres TONS–
parkwood estate http://www.parkwoodestate.com
graydon hall www.graydonhallmanor.com
eaton hall www.eatonhall.ca
as for halal food, if they do kosher (which i think everyone does), then they’ll do halal. you just have to tell them about it and explain the difference. if you tell them where to get the halal meat from, they’ll be more than happy to accommodate you. because if they don’t, thats called racial discrimination.
there are more listed here - http://www.theperfectweddingguide.com/wedding_reception.html
and also here -
http://www.bostonimages.com/reception.html
boston images are photogs, but they’ve shot at a lot of venues in and around the GTA… so a) you can see what the venues like thru the pics they’ve shot, and b) you can google the venue you like and find their website, or a lot of times, the website is listed on their page on boston images’ website
as an aside, when are you getting married? because venues get booked up a MINIMUM of a year in advance… if you’re looking to get married this summer, i.e. summer 07, you’re not likely to find anything available at this point. you’re better off either booking something for this winter, i.e. october onwards, or next summer if you’re set on a summer wedding. this is why even tho the fiance hadn’t formally proposed, i told him we were booking our wedding date last august cos i wasn’t about to wait until he got around to proposing before booking our date, and i didnt want to get married in 08. and i am SO glad i did! one of my friends is trying to find an available date for summer 08 but every venue she’s looking at is already booked. its ridiculous how far in advance people are booking! your best bet also would be to ask for a friday or sunday date. those will be available for dates this year but saturdays i am sure will be booked by now.
Re: Banquet Facilities
There are dates available somegroovychick, but they are Sundays. ![]()
Re: Banquet Facilities
yeah, i figured. i guess i was editing my post to add that when you posted your reply.
weddings are big business here, and they cost a ton of money, so i’m finding that most couples don’t want to take any chances with the date since that is what sets the tone for the whole affair. you have to book a year in advance if you want your date… what about a winter wedding? you could do it in a beautiful hall with an all-white, silver, and hits of ice blue color scheme. lots of crystal chandeliers and white candles… it would be sooo pretty! plus, october to april is off season which means prices are a LOT cheaper than getting married between may and september.

you could also do a fall wedding with lots of oranges, dark reds, chocolate brown decor, maybe work some berries into your centrepieces too, lots of leaves, etc. fall colors can be gorgeous.

Re: Banquet Facilities
