Wedding Cake Toppers (desi bride and groom)

I have seen it in pictures and at a few weddings, a desi bride and groom on top of the wedding cake. Those little dolls look so cute. I want one too! Does anybody know where I can get them in the GTA area?

Re: Wedding Cake Toppers (desi bride and groom)

Really? Ive seen the bride choking the groom figureines… :cb:

Re: Wedding Cake Toppers (desi bride and groom)

The one where the groom is trying to run away but the bride is holding him by the collars is also pretty cute. :D Lekin, I would prefer the desi ones.

Re: Wedding Cake Toppers (desi bride and groom)

How would the desi ones look?

Re: Wedding Cake Toppers (desi bride and groom)

my friend had one… they looked like little stuffed dolls dressed in chamki stuff… she got hers from her desi cake maker. i can find out the name for you, mehnaz.

when they have layered cake do they cut the top or the bottom? and why?

Re: Wedding Cake Toppers (desi bride and groom)

usually the bottom layer is cut.... but i dont think there are any rules- you can cut whichever layer you want!

Re: Wedding Cake Toppers (desi bride and groom)

Mehnaz....try the wedding store at Albion. I can't remember the name of it....it's on the north west side of the Albion/Islington intersection.

The bottom layer is usually cut while the other layers are put away/frozen to be brought out at the first anniversary.

Re: Wedding Cake Toppers (desi bride and groom)

only the top layer is frozen, the rest is served to the guests usually. also, i dont know if cake frozen for one year would taste good.... has anyone done this?

Re: Wedding Cake Toppers (desi bride and groom)

muzna..the store is called Suhaag....they do have nice stuff.....its right next to All Meezan Grocers.
