If you're in Toronto, there's a great jewellery and watch store in Chinatown. That's where I got the Movado. It's a big store along Spadina- you can't miss it.

They sell legit watches there? I need to find a nice watch for the fiance, and I'm based out of Toronto! But I would be so scared to purchase it from China Town

Of course lol. This is Toronto's Chinatown, not Pakistan ;)

And it's a big store not a mom and pop shop. I bought the hubby's from there and was/am fully satisfied.

Got it! Found the perfect Movado and loved it so ended up purchasing it. aH! for those in the US, check out Nordstrom's/Macy's; they're having a pretty good sale right now and I got a really good deal on my watch!

isn’t that how much most nice luxury watches for weddings are? Seeeee, this is why I’m confused! I don’t even know what an appropriate price range would be. Most of the watches I saw were at least 450-500 dollars so I thought I was staying in the lower range?

I'm not trying to piss on your bonfire but was the Movado $1500? That's a lot of money to pay for a quartz watch. It costs about $2 for the movement.

^ It's listed at $995 on the website and she paid $300 less, so not $1500, but also, most luxury goods have manufacturing costs a fraction of what they retail for. That's the nature of the luxury goods market. One has nothing to do with the other. You buy it for the material quality, the name, the look, the style, the exclusivity the price tag brings- and not necessarily in that order.

looking for this one: Movado | Circa Men’s Stainless Steel Watch With Brown Strap

Can’t even find movado watches online at Nordstrum or Macy’s
EDIT: it kept taking me to the canadian site that’s why. The watch is still 795 at Macys

I ended up at Nordstrom! They had that watch when I went, I saw it. But I didn’t ask the price. I think there’s a sale going on this upcoming weekend!
